What's wrong with having more guns just to have more guns? Some people have more cars than they possibly need.

I understand and somewhat agree with his reasoning but I would not be critical of those wanting more guns unless they buy more than they can reasonably afford.

I know I'm going against the grain here, but I agree with the video. I have more firearms than I need and agree to having a stock set for various needs. What I need now is the AR (Stag) and 22 rifle (Ruger).

As for the hand guns, I try to keep them in the same manufacturer as to keep a functioning system.

                    Can never have enough guns.

Each one has a purpose, from SD to Range toy(s) to Hunting to Collectable to SHTF.... and everything in between.

I had a long discussion about this same issue while finishing my last AR build. Guns are sexy and fun, however there is a point of just wasting money. Unless you have collectors pieces, you will never get out of your gun what you put into them. Therefore I start with needs (not wants). We have 3 handguns. 2 for home protection (1 for the wife and 1 for me) then we have a 1911 just because every household should have a 1911. Then we have a couple shotties for home protection, then I have a couple AR's for fun. Seriously, there are no real needs beyond that. Home protection...check....fun shooting...check. Now I may sell and AR to get an AK or 300 Blackout, but those will be in lieu of and not in addition to.

If you ask my wife I have too many, if you ask me I don't have enough (nor will I ever get there)...SOOOOO, don't ask my wife.

What about if I need to barter? Trade this gun for ammo, food etc? Arm friends and family? Range trip with those who don't have? The video makes for a good starting point.

With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

Oh goodness.... how do I justify my black powder Remington New Army in 44.

He does a good job outlining a good basic arsenal. Can't argue with the seven types of arms he has picked. After that, it is a practical hobby. We all spend money in ways that exceed our basic needs, even in regards to food. Some of us spend it on guns. At least they have utility and barter potential, and hold their value.
