Does Your Gun Collection Have a Theme?

I was talking to a fellow gun owner yesterday and he told me about someone who's Gun collection was based on having every gun from the movie Terminator. Very interesting.

I know some people may have only 9mms' or mostly 1911's. I've always "wished" I could have one of every popular handgun that I found worth having, that also included a variety of different popular rounds:
    *Buckmaster 22LR
    *Browning H.P. 9mm
    *Beretta 92 9mm
    *CZ SP-01 9mm
    *Glock 40 cal
    *1911 45cal
    *Sig P220 45 cal
    *Python 357 mag
    *DE 50 cal

Does your collection have a theme or specific rational for obtaining?

Each gun in my closet meets a purpose: Small-game scoped tackdriver, Hunting/Go-To rifle, full-size handgun for open carry, small-frame handgun for CCW. I also have a .22 lr rifle and a .22 lr handgun for extended practice/plinking. Oh, and an M44 because they are cheap and fun.

Zombies... All collections have something to do with Zombies, or you are just a collector...

Ruger 10/22, Beretta M9 (Walking Dead, and others), Zombie Defense AR (M16A2 Clone [just no burst])

        "ZOMBIES!"

Actually I wanted all the stuff I used to be issued in the Corps (M9, M16 cloned AR-15), and build from there. The 10/22 is just for cheap shooting.

Now... about the MK19, the SAW, the M60, and the 240G, I guess I will just have to move to AZ.

Yes, a theme of, if you're on the barrel end of the gun, you in trouble.
          Gun control is NOT missing.

Well, no theme among the guns themselves, but when I open the safes, depending on the day and my mood, I tend to hear "The Ride of the Valkyries" by Richard Wagner.

Other days I hear the theme song from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" by John Williams, which I think is instigated by the abundance of cosmoline.

Most of my collection is WWII German pistols and odd balls of that time period.

My collection is mostly WW2 C&R stuff.

Not really, but I do have certain criteria I adhere to in my guns. I love classic guns and have 4 1911's, a Browning Hi-Power and CZ 75B and classic revolvers (Colt SAA, Colt Detective Special). I like the "tactical" .22s and have 3 of them (GSG-5, Colt M4 .22 and SIG 522) and recently bought the Browning 1911 .22 A1. I guess the only real "theme" I adhere to is in regards to my .22 rimfire collection, which is essentially all military replicas. I don't now, and probably will never have, any any polymer framed, striker fired guns. I do however have a SIG SP 2022, my only concession to the "modern" age.

The theme for my collection is that it must go "BOOM"!

no theme, just anything that interests me (which explains 23 different calibers)

I admire that people collect and preserve the classic guns, but it's not me -- I like shooters.
