There are certain places I will not go back too.

But there are ranges that I enjoy even with the rules (Reeds, Metcalf, Coyote Valley Sporting Clays). All durring the week at non-peak hours.

Of course nothing beats clean BLM land with no one around you for miles.

+1 for BLM...nothing like it. Totally worth the 2 hour drive for me. I go to the range in between desert trips when I get a weekday off and can avoid the crowds. I can't bring myself to wait an hour + on a weekend to pay to shoot indoors, next to people who are constantly flagging the line with their finger on the trigger.

I dislike shooting at indoor ranges. The Santa Anita range in Arcadia was all right, but it's long gone.

I like shooting outdoors pretty much regardless of the conditions, so I like Burro. I try to go early if it's a weekday. Haven't shot on a private range there yet.

Still not the same as when I was a kid in Nevada.

Don't forget the half ***, hardly ever open rifle range.

After getting fed-up too many times I started shopping for suitable property. Now I have my own range and I invite friends that I know are safe with firearms.

Yes I do but I have noticed a bunch of unsafe people out there recently. Some times it can get scary. But for the most part it's fun! After I built my PVC target holder it's much better since its not getting blown over all the time.

I don't have to much BLM land experience but maybe I will get some later. Right now ammo is quite expensive so we have cut back our shooting. We also like our local indoor range it to can get crazy with tons of people and tons of unsafe moments.
                  I don't remember the time I was human that's why I don't understand anybody.
The sound of a cat puking is the most effective alarm clock.
There's danger lurking around every corner, that's why I propose we make all of our buildings round.

i like to shoot regardless of the rules...

the indoor range i frequent is 1 shot per second only handgun cartridges no lared than .44mag except .45acp
its strict but i go there anyway

the outdoor range i go to on the other hand...it is more fun, but you are on your own...they dont really care about 30rds, rapid fire, etc.

All the ranges near me all suck. What i hate the most is no rapid fire, no shooting with ur own target holders, no shooting ur own steel/foam targets. I'd go out to shoot in the boonies every time if it wasnt so far away.

I enjoy every trip to Sac Valley. Nice to get away from everything...and everyone.

If you just like to blast away, do mag dumps or just plink away, you will not find the target range that enjoyable.
Exactly, and I think it's a good thing the ranges are fairly strict.

The ranges let any yahoo come in and shoot. There are huge differences in the level of skill of the shooters that show up.

I love the shooting sports and ranges are just part of that equation.

It is boring unless I go with others. Since I have gone with calguns folks I look forward to it!

The ranges I shoot at are private with no RO's and usually no one else around except some cows and horses, so yes, I LOVE going to the range.
