    Locked On Target

I'd love to own some savvy handguns but unfortunately unless I'm loaned a handgun or handed one via mother or father, 21 is when I can get one myself.

However I can see if I can find an affordable and quality storage place for the guns I plan to get and I'm gonna need to convince my mom to buy the gun with my money as she does NOT want any guns in her house whatsoever. PERIOD.

Extensive selection of high-quality domain names. Knowledgeable, friendly customer support.

Right down the street from my house. Walking distance. Maybe five to ten minutes max.

Now obtaining a CCW is the tricky part. Convincing the ever so stiff masters will be hard. I hope I don't need to speak in person or I'll be pissed. Can't speak in front of people very well.

Now with that being said hopefully $8/hour working at CVS Pharmacy on Elk Grove Blvd & Waterman Rd. is a 2-4 minute bike ride and a short spin to the storage place.

So any thoughts or suggestions before embarking on this journey?

You can't give your mother money to buy a gun of any type it is illegal and it is called a straw purchase [google it]After reading some of your other posts maybe you should talk to your pastor or professional help to examine why you want a gun.Guns are not the answer to your problems.

The storage place and CVS are walking distance for me as well.

      Scary.

You may want to prioritize some things. The ability to speak in front people should be quite a bit higher on your list than a storage place or guns for that matter. IMO

          +1

Do some growing up, soul searching, research and and please take your interest to a classroom. Admittedly having minimal if any experience you are posting about sniper rifles and potential straw purchases. Not a good sign

You sound like you want to be tacticool.

One of MASTERNOOB's threads has been deleted for good reason.I agree social skills are a bigger priority then gun ownership. His temper and attitude that has been displayed in this forum is scary.Think about Columbine shootings.

+1 on social skills. It kind of looks like you are setting yourself up for Columbine bro, and that scares all of us. I think you should save and wait until all the petty high school crap and social problems are behind you. Then when the time is right ( you have your own place, or your family has been converted) and you are in the right frame of mind, purchase something.

                  Master noob.
                  1. as the other person said, your mother has to purchase you the gun with her money and gift it to you. If you give her money to buy it for you, that is a straw purchase (illegal)

                  2. Get your personal issues in order before you buy any gun.

                  3. Get a car. While you can transport guns on bike or on foot, cars make things much easier.

                  4. If your mom does not want guns in her house, go buy your own house or rent your own apartment. If you can convince her to allow guns, then thats cool. Don't rent a storage place though. Either save up for a car or your own place.

Most storage places won't allow guns, and they are not controlled enough (humidity control is a minimum) to keep guns from rusting.

If you want to keep a gun nice then you need a good place to store it. If you want to get into shooting and your folks won't let you keep a gun then maybe you can make friends with some of the folks in your local shooting club. Maybe they would let you practice at the range with one of their guns?

If you are between 18-21 then guns is really not the most important thing. If you like shooting then you need to find a nice place to store your guns, and that means making enough money to have your own place. Working at a CVS isn't going to do that for you... If you are planning on attending a college then you have to consider that most colleges won't allow firearms on campus either, so maybe now is not the best time to buy things?

If you really want to go shoot stuff, then join the .mil. They have the cool toys and they will (sort-of) pay you to use them.

LTC (license to carry) in California requires an in-person interview with the police chief, or his/her appointed representative. It also requires a range test. It took me about a year of shooting from when I started to get good enough to pass the test.

Unfortunately I live in San Mateo County, where they generally do not issue LTC. Sacramento county (I looked up where that CVS is on google) is easier, but I think you need to be 21 to get one of those. I could be wrong...

Some one just needs to be his pal instead of telling him to get lost or no on guns because, no matter what, legal or illegal, you can always aquire a gun. Im sure if you guys befriend him and take him out shooting and find a way to release his emotions he will be saved and another "colombine" will not occur or at the very least, reduce the chance of this happening. Masternoob, I think you should look into the Zimmerman case and please do not go out there with a gun and get revenge. It is a tool for sporting and self defense but it has to be justified. The bradys are really targeting gun rights and we dont need another case against us. What part of Cali are you in? Maybe I can be your friend. PM me if you want to talk. Guns are awesome and require a huge amount of responsiblity. I am 26 years old and have already commited some stupid mistakes and hurt me everyday. So, pm me and we can talk and maybe you can shoot my gun. Its a Kimber 1911

If you are down, help someone less fortunate if you can. You'll be amazed what that feels like.

Sounds like you're bouncing off the walls and seem a bit desperate to own a firearm. If you want a decent pay, ability to carry at all times without the need to apply for a LTC and a new meaning to the word "Brothers", join the military. The USMC and US Army are the best and biggest gun club in the world. If you have no life goals at the moment, they will assist you with getting one.

If you read his other posts, alot of members, myself included, have offered to talk with him and teach him how to shoot and all of that. I do agree that ridiculing the kid isnt whats best for him, but you have to admit, if you read what he has written and think about it, its kind of scary.. Masternoob, my offer still stands.
