That's 200.00 for the ATF Tax Stamp per each, and for my 550.00 .40 pistol, the suppressor is about 700.00, and for the 775.00 9mm pistol, the suppressor is about 950.00 plus ATF share. (Cost as per Liberty Cans)

That makes my .40 cost about 1450.00...and the 9mm 1925.00. Hummm, that would certainly curb my firearm purchases. I might think of having one on the "house" pistol, but all...I don't think so.

You're thinking about it wrong. You are buying it for an entire caliber, so you have to think about it like you are adding a gun to the safe, not an addition for one gun.

In my case, I bought a Sparrow SS, which will be used on 2 of my 22lr rifles, as well as my 17hmr rifle. It can be used on any 22lr, 22mag, 17hmr, or FN 5.7

So, I think of it as an addition to the collection, not just one gun. I'm at $375 for the suppressor (msrp $499) + $200 tax stamp + $50 transfer + $150 for 3 barrels to be threaded.

$775 OTD.....wow, that added up fast.

If they were legal I'd build my own.
Fill out some ATF paperwork, pay some fees, weld some metal and you're good to go for 1/4 the money.

Purchase the book "How to Build Military Grade Suppressors .22 Thru 50BMG"
This is a torture test video prepared by the author.

I wish every shot I had ever fired was suppressed. Shooting takes a toll on the ears!

Don't forget, if they were mass produced they would be much cheaper.

When I retire out of state I already have a list of things to buy, and silencers is near the top of the list.

Heck yes. I'd buy one for the Glock, and one for the AR.
