But yeah, if anything I was guessing that the median of 20 is a little high.
Hey, I didn't mean to offend you. I know that many people in the south never leave there and really have no idea how other people live. On the other hand, I also have many friends in the south that shoot 50s, which obviously takes disposable income. Some of them even own andd afford to feed their NFA toys. But, for the most part, I still think that Californian's can and do spend more per capita on their toys.

BTW, congratulations on your new financial wellbeing! I can't wait to move out of Ca. in a few years. I've been here 41 years and I'm need to leave for a while.

When you run out of safe space. But the solution is, of course, another safe. Which now brings us to...we have more room for more guns
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

            Too many guns?

How about when the USGS comes to your door asking to survey your land because there is a magnetic anomally causing NASA satellites to drift out of position?

i'm gonna say if you can't get them all out of the house before it burns down. then you have to many. this is just like the ammo thread "how much ammo is too much ammo" well if you cant get it out of the house in time, or in a shtf case then thier worthless. right?

My hard-drive crashed a few months ago and I lost the excel spreadsheet with the inventory.
With the half a dozen or so additions since the crash, I really don't know the exact number.

I could dig through the 3 safes, 3 closets, 2 chests of drawers and look for the hidden ones and try to re-construct the list,
but what does it really matter?

The only thing that pisses me off is when I buy another of the same gun, only to realize later that I already had one...

How many is too many depends on your situation. If you have the money and the storage space, sure, go ahead and buy 20, or 100. If buying two cuts into your grocery money, then two is too many.

If 20 is the median, then I'm way behind. I have a lot less than that, but I still feel like I'm blessed with a large collection.

or if you are thinking about selling some of your guns because you don't shoot them, then you have too many.

Not sure if there is such a thing as too many. I just picked up my latest purchase today.

Honestley I think I do have too many now as I don't shoot 1/2 of them but every time I think about thinning the heard I can't bring myself to do it.

Every time I do sell a firearm I regret it later, well, except in the case of my glock. I hated that thing.
