Per CA law they can't destroy it without my permission.

Also, going off of little comments he offered on his own while just chatting, he is pro gun and will do everything he can to help me.

He did say it will be easier because I'm NOT a CA resident. He said that they can't hold me to CA laws because I don't live there

That's good news, I wouldn't worry about it to much. Just keep checking with the detective every week.

Sounds real good to me, happy for you! Most likely the longer it takes the deeper the investigation. The deeper that goes the more likely they'll get a strong lead on what happened to the other guns or develop a trail to start searching.

Well organized criminals have regular routes of stealing stuff from one state & moving it to another in shipments & vice versa. Could be all your guns made it out here in one lot, one shipment, and they'll eventually recover more or all!

Thankfully most of law enforcement has a heart and wants the best outcomes.

UPDATE!!!!!!! A year later.
I have been in touch with the detectives on the case.
The first detective went to another agency
Then I had to deal with the property room.
Then the case went to the FBI.
I just got off the phone with them and he said the bad guy plead GUILTY and they will sentance him on the 24th. I'm to call him back the first week of march for another update and to see about getting it back.

I cant wait.
