When do you think the runs on ammo will start again?

I think it varies. At my local walmart they had stacks of 45, 40, 9, 22, 30-06, a couple shotgun shells but not many. Maybe more people are getting into skeet or hunting?

A run on ammo will begin when shooters convince each other that a run is coming or happening.
Our company is a vendor with three suppliers and after some 15 years, we have enough "inside friends" who would tell us of and factual impending changes coming down the pike.

The last run happened exactly for the reasons I just posted above. When everyone convinces each other that the primers are slowing down in manufacture, or any of the other wild speculation I'm sure you remember, then normal and usual supplies disappear. I remember seeing both internet and gun show prices as high as $75.00 a brick. All of our vendors hadn't changed our costs by one nickle during that whole sequence of idiocy. It just took longer for the pipeline to fill itself again.
Now... I gotta split. Walmart here is almost out of ammo!!!

with the reports in the news regarding all the guns that were bought as gifts for people and all the guns sold in general during black friday/holidays sales.....all those new guns are going to need ammo.

I feel compelled to to point out that your stacked ammo is lacking OSHA approved "red squirrel squashing prevention barriers", furthermore your ammo cans could be directly related to clogged drains originally blamed on the delta smelt which turned off the water from NorCal, please provide a phone number so I can direct you to the nearest ammo depletion and testing site! ;-)
