The thing about it is that there are 10,000,000 people in Los Angeles, even if only 50% turned into zombies and I only had to worry about the zombies in my area of Los Angeles a conservative estimate would be what, maybe 100,000 zombies? 200,000 zombies?
So even if I was perfect with my 10/22 (100% head shots, no misses) I would need a least that much Ammo.
I'm disheartened to say the least... Maybe I should move to a place with a lower population density...Comment

That's only 20-40 cases of .22lr... You can stash that in a closet....Comment

Go easy on the "zombie" question askers.
It's an easier way to discuss shooting human shaped/capable adversaries who may be wearing body armor, without the awkward moral and/or legal overhead. Not everyone is emotionally prepared to discuss possibly having to take down loved ones who in a moment of insanity pose a lethal threat. Nor is everyone prepared to actively contemplate having to defend themselves against those who they would normally see in a "heroic" role, such as cops, soldiers, federal agents who have gone insane, are imposters, or are "just following orders" given by insane leaders. Don't laugh, crack a history book, it's all happened.
Using "zombie" as a metaphor for these potentially lethal and evil adversaries is emotionally "safe" because a zombie isn't a person, although they are shaped like a person and may have some qualities of a person such as being able to walk. It's ok to shoot something that's not a person. This bit of mental self-subterfuge can help a person get through the phase where taking a life seems to much too deal with... but defending themselves against a lethal threat is something they can embrace. As such, we ought to embrace the zombie metaphor as a valuable training tool to help aspiring self-defenders to gain skills while they continue to grapple with the moral and ethical quandaries that any kind of self-defense will raise. The one thing worse than defeat is surrender.Comment

This one since it sounds the most fun during a appocolypse hehehehe"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

I want one of those movie guns that shoots 200 rounds of ammo before it needs to be reloaded. I especially love it when the gun is a revolver and 50 shots later the actor finally adds some ammo!"I declare to you that woman must not depend upon the protection of man, but must be taught to protect herself, and there I take my stand." --Susan B. how come no one here has said anything about a mini gun??
btw id think an ak47 would be the best zombie weapon rather than an ar 15, way more stopping power, built like a tank, more than accurate enough to kill a potential threat.Comment
