They'll make up random BS about how an alarm clock works if it suits their "needs". Those shows pump tons of misinformation about different subjects, guns are definitely no exception. That particular load is reserved for LEO or Military use and not sold to US civilian consumers as it's "armor piercing" when used in the FN57 pistol.

The ammo available to US shooters is the SS192 hollow-point, SS195LF (lead free), SS197SR (sporting round) or the discontinued SS196SR (sporting round)
It may behoove you to mention that this is exclusively the manufacturers' imposed rules and there are no legal obligations to the practice.

On a related note, Bullseye in San Rafael has banned Five-Sevens from the range. They discovered a lot of damage to the backstop wall a few weeks ago and decided to ban that caliber.

is it an inside range? from the looks of the website it is. And I'm thinking pistol calibers only right?

I am not surprised they would ban the five-seven, it is an amazing round.... but it aint a beast, man chopper

                      Hard to handle?

The P90 was designed to have less recoil than a 9mm, then they gave it a stock...

They call an AR15 a mouse gun and 5.7*28 is weaker than that.

The technical aspects of CSI have never impressed me.

Even the first episode had some stupid stuff about bombs.

I shouldl have said "trying to kill her" It was full auto P90.

I asked some poeple on the set about some realistic stuff, but they just said "it is Hollywood"

To clarify. Bullseye has NEVER allowed 5.7 to be shot on the range. Those found shooting rifle caliber (or calibers not pised on the posted approved caliber list) lose their range privileges for life.

Great round, but we are a pistol caliber range.
