    Rifles or Handguns?

    Which do you generally prefer?

I understand that there is a time and place for both (and I own several of both), but generally speaking which category of firearms "tickles your pickle" more?

For me, it's definitely rifles. Handguns are fun too, but something about longarms are much more appealing to me.

Handguns...but only because it's what I'm more likely to have access to at any given time. I sure love rifles, though.

Too general - they both 'tickle my pickle' in different ways. For self-defense: handguns for general cool gun-ness: rifles

Man that's a tough choice. I'm more familiar with handguns, but I'm drawn to the greater power of rifles. On the other hand, handguns present a greater challenge to master.

On the other other hand, I'm a natural with shotguns, and since you don't have that on your poll, I'm forced to choose... Handguns!

Rifles, a tripod on a hand gun just looks goofy.
With all this "gun control" talk, I've not heard one politician say how they plan on taking guns from criminals, just law abiding Citizens.

I'm a rifle guy, myself. I only have one pistol (and many rifles) and I converted my .22 pistol to a carbine (Beretta Neos). I just saw the Big 5 weekly and they are selling single shot shotguns for $90 - and that is just too sweet.

You forgot to include shotguns, and an "all of the above" option. They are tools that have different uses given the time and place.

By the way, no one cares how many guns you've won

hanguns = useful for fighting your way to a shotgun.
you don't rise to the occasion,
you just fall back on your level of training.

I like both, probably since I have the least experience with handguns and I am most likely to use a handgun for SD it is the more focused discipline.
