Syn. Motor Oil as Lube?

the reason why i switched to froglube was because i HATE oils running/bleeding all over my firearms. I think basically all oils serve the same purpose equally. I actually wanted to use grease, but since I heard such great reviews from froglube, i decided to give them a try.

The point of UVT's marketing eating the stuff is to indicate that it is not harmful when the stuff aerosolizes off of the gun surfaces and is inhaled or deposited on the face and hands.

i'll admit that the price is freaking expensive. $36 it cost me for some paste and some gel.

I use 5w20 Castrol and it works just fine. Couple of drops on the rails, one at the bushings, one at the upper lugs and one at the link and my 1911s hummm.

If you use motor oil, and live close to a Tap Plastic store, get one of these applicators. It is the best may to put the (motor) oil where you need it without getting all over your gun.

I use syn motor oil there isn't any more pressure in a guns contact points that exceeds what a motor sees . But then I was given a bottle of Slip 2000 EWL and I really like it.

Lube bottle lasting years? Some of you need to stop staring at your guns and start shooting them. Just saying...

Im very thrifty. I replaced the "spring thing on the grip of the p226r" with a paperclip because spending $20 on a tiny piece of metal I can make is redic.

Im the same way. But syn oil will be fine.
