The S&W 38 snub I have is a good gun but came with a .009 Cylinder gap out of the box. SW said it was within tolerance.

*shrug* so I bought a bunch of Rugers after that. They are about .008 but the Ruger lines (other than the LCR line) don't have the annoying lock, are cheaper and shoot straight.

Their fixing it. They have a 4 1/8" barrel in stock, so while it's there I'm having that and a trigger job done. Now that I'm not so pissed off, oh well. That's just the way things are now.

I have 2 617's a 4" and a 6" some where around 800 to 1000 rounds through both and no issues yes they are post ugly lock but good guns.
Sorry for your issues, write a nice detailed letter and send it with yours and see if that helps.

People get flat tires every day and it's not the car's fault
Bad Firestone tires, still not the vehicle's fault
You need to send back to S&W

I'm picking up a S&W .357 model 28 tomorrow, should I be angry for it being a S&W? Would I be not as rage-filled if it were a Ruger instead?

I just got my 686 back a couple of days ago and I'm pleased with the service. I like it so much that I went on Camp Pen and order for a 8 shot 627. I'm sorry but I just can't stop with the revolvers. A 6 shot GP100, a 7 shot 686 plus, and next an 8 shot 627. Call me crazy but I love dem revolvers from Smith!

Don't let one lemon change your mind. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of satisfied S&W owners out there. I'm one of them.

So am I. I never had issues with my 442, I don't have any issues with my 686 and tomorrow morning I'm going to start DROS on a Performance Center 627 UDR.
