    Why Top Dollar?

Why do people ask top dollar for their hand Guns with 500 rounds down the pipe and two years old? Are they trying to pull the wool over some ones eyes? It's just as easy to go down to your favorite Gun store and buy it on sale.

Lots of people pay way too much for their guns in their local gun stores that sell for far over MSRP, and then don't look to see what the used market value is when they put it up for sale. Since they didn't do any price research when they bought it, I guess we shouldn't expect them to do any research when they sell it. I always crack up when people are selling used Ruger GP100s for $600 when I can go down the street and get a brand new one for $550.

Because we live in a free market society and they can price things however they want, doesn't mean it will sell.

In the meantime, congratulations on finally moving from soviet Russia to America, where people are free to price things however they want! It's obvious you've only just left the land of the iron curtain so it's understandable that ideas like people setting their own prices for the goods they want to sell might seem strange and foreign. However you'll eventually find out that you aren't required to buy those items either.

Now before I go, I dedicate this song to you in honor of your journey from an oppressive communist regime that controls what prices private citizens can sell their own goods for:

This is a deep mystery that never shall be answered. Perhaps you could write a book filled with interviews of those listing guns for sale.

I don't think it is offensive for them to want to sell high. If you think its not a fair price just shake your head sadly and move on. If they ask you for your opinion I'm sure you'll share it freely.

I can't speak for others, but I know the prices I set for stuff I put up for sale are on the high side, but I do it on purpose as I make it known that I'm willing to haggle. I think that leads to a better deal for both parties. Example, when I sold my Beretta cx4 storm last month, me and the buyer came to a deal that was lower than the price I had posted on here, not by a lot, but regardless both of us walked away from the deal happy.

There making room to deal, but we all know you can get it cheaper, just have to search for it. An other times ,what was the questions again?

Except for guns chambered in overbored cartridges. 500 rounds and two years old is practically a new gun. Niether the 500 rounds nor the "two years old" would have any affect on my decision to buy or not buy a gun. However, I'm cheap and generally won't pay close tp "top dollar" for a new or used gun period. Some people tend to think that they can recoup all their expenses on a firearm even if they have paid too much for it. The funny thing is that if they wait long enough, they usually can find someone who is willing to be suckered as bad as they were.

Why would anyone list a gun for the absolute lowest price they are willing to take? People low ball you anyway, so you might as well shoot for the moon. Why do car dealerships list the cars for much higher than they would actually sell for?
