I have some that I'm selling but not at cost. Have to recoup those dollars I spent upfront :-).

With that said, this is a great deal, even if you go only 1 time and take a 2-day class, your still walking away with about average cost for a 2 day training class (keeping in mind most schools will charge you $250+ of training in a single course).

There is also a $50 background fee required before attending the class.
I am sorry to disagree with you but I must. This is a Diamond membership which entitles you to all of the courses for as long as they are in business.

The $50 is yearly, so not really an issue.

also would like to add, if your not going to go there in the years time you do not have to pay to backround (only when you go $50 is good for the year).

I bought it early this year and have been there twice already. Looking forward to a third trip later this year. I definitely got more than my money's worth for the membership. I picked up a few this time. Even with the extra membership costs, I still felt I got my money's worth.

If you look at their web site and study it, (despite the fact that it is difficult) they are building and expanding all the time. They have huge plans for a whole resort community at their facility with homes, multiple ranges, etc. Their revenues have doubled every year for several years and they report having trained over 300,000 people. The bizarre marketing is to sell big numbers to raise cash and the numbers of people buying courses I would guess to help persuade investors that they are going some where. Everything I have read (from people that have been) says it is top notch. I have 5 buddies going with me next month. Very much looking forward to it and I just bought more courses for another trip to take my daughter and wife next go round.

The "resort community" has been in the plans since the 90's. Except it was originally a residential community. Then there were the lawsuits from the people who paid for the original hideously expensive memberships, which resulted in a federal receivership a couple of years ago. That got settled, so as part of the settlement the plan got changed to a resort hotel and convention center. The receivership was then ended. Since then it appears prices of memberships have been spiraling ever downward. I figure it's to fund whatever the settlement was.

They have completed some more modest construction however. I gather they recently added their first flush toilet bathrooms.

I've heard fair to good things about their training, with some occasional bad stories, but the silliness about the other stuff he's going to build.. well maybe by 2052, after they finish paying off the people who sued them.

Their marketing practices have already stung them once. At the current prices, I'm still tempted, given I could do about 2 courses and come out ahead, but the marketing stench of desperation always scares me off, frankly.

Hey they have the 4 day Defensive Handgun Midweek Course for $69 until tomorrow. Is it worth it?

if you want to go, of course its worth it, i know many people that have paid lots more for that course.

put it this way, if you dont get it, then suddenly want to go at a later date, you will understand what a deal it was.
