Sorry to take this off topic, but you mentioned reloads destroying your guns, I recently went to Insight in Artesia and shot a hundred rounds of their reloads and one jammed really bad in my M&P40 and I could not get it out. So I called the range master and he came out and got it out but after banging my gun a few times on a shelving unit. What policies do these ranges have regarding their cheap *** reloads causing damage to your firearm?

At SP before you are allowed into the range they make you sign a waiver. Making them free of all liability. They don't care, all they want is your monies...

B&G is selling plain JD machine lowers for $199. Hahaha yeah right. Blueline $99 for the same. I like shooters for the range since it is close, but won't buy "anything" from B&G. I needed a barrel nut wrench and went in because it was close, they wanted $45. I walked out.

Agreed, Shooters Parasite is a waste of money. Make the trip to ASR or Cherry Creek. Glad to see I am not the only hater on these clowns.

Another great place to have your firearms delivered to and DROS'ed is EBR Works.

excellent customer service, if you have questions they'll take their time and explain.
very friendly, definately worth doing business with them, unlike alot of shops out there.
I completely agree that anyone that can use EBR Works should do so. Michael goes out of his way to help and he is very flexible about when he is available.

Here is a post I put in my newbie thread yesterday.

They said that this ammo was "too dirty" and I had to use their ammo.

I was very annoyed and just left without shooting.

I can't wait until the new range opens up in Ventura.

I have never been to the shop in question but it seems every area has their bad apples these days. here in the bay area we have canyon sports which most calgunners know as a joke, yet you can go in there anytime they are open and they are selling guns like crazy even with the outrageous pricing they have going on. same deal with guns fishing and other stuff, there have been multiple threads complaining about the place on here yet they sell guns like crazy as well. luckily we just got city arms in my town and have had nothing but good service from them with them even going as far as hunting down an exact gun i wanted when none of their suppliers had it in stock, and they got it to me for hundreds less then other stores around me wanted.

I wish there was a way to get the word out about the good shops and the bad shops to the people who dont use calguns.

jonzer77, they charged us $35 for the ppt, but if youre having a firearms shipped from a different FFL to them for DROS then they charge jsut about over $100
They used to charge $60 for a ppt and they saidthey had permission from the doj. I called the doj and asked them about it and they said 35 max. Doj must have gone and talked to them about it

I can't stand that place. The only reason I go there is to use the range when I need to go somewhere close and quick.

It's true though, you can watch someone there getting ready to take their pistol or .223 in and the guy will say "you have to use our ammo, we dont have ventillators" or some such BS. I'll be right in line behind him, box of magnetic corrosive ammo in hand "okay you're shooting an old surplus I see - just make sure you don't hit the target holders, have fun".

The place is usually full of mall ninjas, morons, blowhards with silly outlandish stories and the staff has some sort of superior "good old boys club" mentality.

There's a new range opening up off Knoll Drive in September - apparently they just filed for their permits and things are going through. Hopefully it wont be staffed by Moe, Larry and Shemp.

Was in there the other day burning some time between classes and for the twenty mi it's I was in there not once did I get asked if I needed help. The guy behind the counter looked at me and then walked off to talk to another guy. He sat down and started talking to an instructor. I walked over to the window to watch some shooting and still no help when the same guy was sitting on his *** watching me. Only as I was leaving did the young kid behind the rental counter ask if I needed help. Besides him only one other guy there didn't act like a dick. I hate that place but only use the range if I have to.

Why do bad gunstores chronically affect this state?

Jeez. Do numbnuts run these businesses?
