Just to be clear. Except = excludes
I looked at the link you posted and they will "ACCEPT" as of July 1.
If you are trying to say that you can carry concealed in Nevada with an Arizona permit you might want to change the title of your thread because it is misleading.

Doesn't AZ have Constitutional Carry now? If so, why would AZ have a CCW process a all? So AZ citizens can carry in reciprocal CCW states?

You are forgiven. Your country has given the world beautiful women, vodka and the ak47. We'll let you go with only a warning this time.

Yes, so AZ citizens can carry in other states. The CCW also exempts the holder from Federal GFSZ as well.

Anyone know of Arizona training in north Los Angeles County?

From browsing the web, it looks as if any other state's CCW that requres training fulfills Az's training requirements. Presumably that includes Utah.

There are also places in Arizona, such as bars, where you need the permit. Without the permit, you have to leave your firearm outside.

You dont need "Arizona" training. They except a wide variety of training. Go to their website and read up on it. They even accept a CCW from anotehr state (even an expired one). And mine arrived within 9 days of sending it off!

ETA if you call or email them, they will send you an APP and two fingerprint cards within a couple of days. You get finger printed, fill out the short app and send off with your fee. Piece of cake.

I submitted my UT permit with the application after they told me it was acceptable proof of training. They asked for a copy of the front and back of the permit.

Their customer service is amazing for a government agency. They answer email inquiries in less than an hour, and they mailed the app packet to me the same day I requested it.

                        Kudos to AZ.

Yes, I knew they accepted a wide range. I was asking on behalf of someone else. Decided that as they have an NRA pistol certificate (issued by none other than me!) they are OK, even though they have no previous CCW.

That person has since emailed CCW@azdps.gov and got a very fast response, attaching a list of acceptable qualifications and describing the procedure. They didn't actually say they were sending the packet, but that was asked for and they described it, so I expect it is on the way.

Strange thing is to get a CCW, you need any NRA certificate, but to become an Arizona instructor, you need to have both NRA pistol and Safety in the Home instructor certifications. So, a pistol instructor can qualify you with a pistol certificate without the instructor being qualified as an Arizona instructor. Interesting.

Anyway, I agree I should have done more research first, thanks for filling the gaps I left.

In AZ you can carry concealed without a CCW, you just can't do it in all the places that someone with a CCW can. Example: Without a CCW you can't carry concealed into any place that serves alcohol. With a CCW you can.

Timing is everything. I have my AZ CCW and I am going to Vegas...this weekend.

Looks like I open carry, again.
