Used to be about every two weeks, but works dictates otherwise (monthly, even that's a stretch).

Well shoot, looks like I'm wasting my valuable time over cleaning my weapons, thanks. What do y'all say, maybe a good scrub every 1000rds and a bore mopping between shoots?

No, not wasting your time. I enjoy cleaning mine, and if it relaxes you and keeps you happy by all means keep doing it. But they don't *need* to be cleaned every range session.

I wipe my down with a silicone cloth and make sure they're oiled before & after shooting, and boresnake them after each shooting. For actual fieldstripping and cleaning, I do that every 1000 or sound rounds for my 1911s, perhaps every 500 with ARs (even that is more often than necessary though). Sooner if they start acting up, but that has yet to be an issue.

It's such a love/hate relationship. I love to sit there and clean, got the music playing and birds out my window (neighbors have parakeets) and stuff. I hate to set everything up then clean up the mess, though, and my hands smell like Hoppes the rest of the night. (I know, to some of you guys the Eau du Hoppes Cologne #9 is a pro, not a con )

When I put a clean pistol back in the case and lock it up, a warm fuzzy feeling starts to happen that I know it's there and ready to rock in a moments notice should I need it. Somehow I feel good knowing that the weapon is put away clean.

I hear ya, I go 3-4x a week, if just to send a 2-3 boxes downrange. Shooting is a perishable skill, and to those of us that rely on that skill set to possibly save our lives, its necessary.

Handgun range once/week. Rifle range once/week.

I clean my bench rifle once per range session, but cleaning is: drench everything in CLP, then blast it away with a high-pressure air nozzle. I clean the barrel pretty thoroughly, though. Handguns and other rifle get cleaned whenever I get around to it.

The number of range visits is fairly high. I live just a few mins from Jackson Arms and tend to stop by just to test a new piece of equipment or run a quick check before a match. I typically only do 1-2 practice sessions or matches / week now, which is less than half of what I used to do :/

Depends, I go as much as i can afford. Even though i handload shooting is still expensive, we live on a single income on a E-4 pay grade with three kids, doesn't leave allot of money for components, but i still go twice a month at least.

I only "HIT" the range when I miss my target.

I don't hit the "range," I hit the "target."

It's been a couple months, but it's anywhere from once a month to three.

I hardly ever make it to the range. When I was going to school I made it up to the BLM designated shooting area at least once a week, usually only shooting .22's as that's all I could afford to shoot on my measily poor college student fund.

Since I've started working I've yet to make it to the range, though I've managed a couple outings to the old rock quary near my grandparents house on Trinity Lake. However, I do go "shooting" every working day of the week. Test firing guns I've repaired into the snail trap.
