How often do you hit the Range? Poll

Hi Folks,
I browse this forum a minimum of 2 to 4 times a day, every day. I own more than 15 firearms, and love shooting. But, I am lucky to get to the range once every 3 months . Just too darn busy with work and family. And I work within 2 blocks of Americian Shooting Center here in San Diego. How often do you get out and throw some lead down field at the range or in your BACKYARD?

I go to the range a minimum of once a month.

Every Saturday and Sunday to shoot USPSA matches, with the occasional steel plate match.

If I really want to make GM, I'll need to go 1-2 times midweek to do some real practice instead of only dryfire practice at home.

Used to be 1-2 times a week but I go through my phases. Now it's down to 1 every 2-3 weeks.......but I did go yesterday!

Multiple times a week. Outdoor range, indoor range or to shoot a match...

Shooting .22 helps with ammo costs too.

Get yourself a membership @ ASC and shoot for a short while on your lunch breaks or immediately after work to let traffic die down. I think I know one of the guys that works @ ASC even, perhaps you could get yourself the LE rate for a membership on account of he thinks people should get to enjoy their hobbies more. Don't let little things like family & work get in the way of your shooting (*joke*).

I shoot multiple times a week, $$$ permitting. But then, I have easier range access than most (-Sam of course).

Back when I was younger and poorer, I used to practice indoors with my air pistol four or five times a week.

Now that I have enough money to afford real guns and real bullets, I no longer have the time to enjoy them!

So as a sub-poll, for those of you (us) who go to the range at least once a week - do you clean after every range session? I've met some guys at the range who I swear haven't scrubbed their weapon in a year it's so crudded up.

For me that's a yes, cleaned after every session (usually the next day). I'm kinda anal retentive about it.

If you clean your guns too often you're doing them more harm than good. Don't get me wrong, I clean mine regularly, but once a week is pointless. Run a boresnake through them each time you shoot 'em, keep em oiled, and don't over clean them.

Oh hell no!

I go at least 6 IPSC matches on the same pistol before cleaning it. ~1200 rds
If it were causing me any problems then I would clean more often.
I do clean the dirt out of the mags out 5-6 times each shooting day, that's enough work.
