Thinking about a Front Sight membership?

Today I was contacted by Front Sight and asked to take down this thread.

I contacted Front Sight last week and asked if it was okay if I posted a thread on Calguns saying Front Sight is running a promotion and anyone interested could contact me. The man I talked to at Front Sight talked to someone briefly and then said it was okay for me to do that.

The person at Front Sight who gave me permission was incorrect. I do not have Front Sight's permission.

I completely respect and agree with Front Sight's policies. I had no intention of violating them, and I thought I was in compliance.

Front Sight provides fantastic training. I am excited about being a Front Sight member and I am really looking forward to taking my first class there June 24th. I look forward to seeing many Calguns members there, now and in the future.

Nice that FS and Kestryll have given you permission on this. Its an excellent deal if you didn't take advantage back in January. I was glad to help a few friends the last time around. Good luck and hope you get a lot of interest.

If you've never been, this is an excellent opportunity to get in on some excellent training at an inexpensive price. Repeatability of classes and the upper level courses are quite fun. A great way to augment any training you may do locally.

I just got back from a course with my Dad. Just a few pics for those that haven't been in awhile. Pardon the crappy camera phone pics.

I think they mean approval to post a thread selling the memberships. FS normally says you can't advertise publicly and there were some stickies saying you couldnt post any more on CGN. FS sent CGN a request to not do this after the first promotion.

However, we had the green light last time to do this, and it's helping FS out with their promotion. Maybe they are looking the other way during the promotion only?

I have been selling some but have not advertised. I'm doing ok with referrals.
It won't be so crazy this time

I haven't been able to get anyone to bite. I only wanted to get 3 sold because my girlfriend fell in love with the prize. And, being a broke college student that's the only way I could ever afford it for her.

Where are you guys selling them? Being a college student it's hard to find people with $500

Like the previous offer, you would be buying the same membership as the person selling. Presuming your buying a membership from a Diamond member (seems like most people these days), the membership includes a bunch of things.

                          1. Attend ALL firearms courses free of charge (minus a once a year $50 background check); martial arts courses; rope, rappel, and climb courses; defensive driving; executive protection courses, and any other courses FS develops in the future. Of course you'll have to graduate from the prerequisites to take those high level courses.

                          2. Attend any class offered at their Alaska facility (if the member you're buying from has this addition).

                          3. Attend the annual, Two-Day Secrets of the Ultra Successful Event free of charge. Held during the annual July 4th First Family Reunion (courses that weekend as well).

                          4. Guaranteed placement in any course with two weeks' advance enrollment.

                          5. 40% savings on any products purchased from Front Sight Pro Shop, Gunsmith, and Armory (brings the cost ammo cost down to Walmart prices).

                          6. Free Locker Rental in Front Sight's future Armory.

                          7. First Family card and First Family hat

There's a few other things listed I didn't mention. See here. Note. For this offer, you do not get any guns, the manuals, or the other 'bonus' items listed at the link. the link I've noted is just their overview of the Diamond in general.

Perhaps a girlfriend, or parent might give you an early birthday gift. Otherwise, even at this recent low cost, it's a steal. Maybe charge it? I bought my membership using a student loan while in Graduate school (It wasn't meant for that but whatever). It was $5,000 back before there were even levels and before they had moved to Nevada. At that time, one received a bunch of course certificates which I sold to pay my off initial membership. Now, years later and a bunch of courses under my belt, I don't regret it one bit. The timing may not be right for you but if you can swing it, I wouldn't pass. Even going once would pay for itself. The rest would be gravy.

Thanks. Good to know. It's probably just not a good time for me or my friends. I've got my membership back in december and it just seems like people already have them.

I got the Diamond and went to a two day handgun course a couple of weeks ago. The training was tops. I'm probably going to get a few more Diamonds for the kids. If you're in the Ventura area and are interested, PM me.
