So what was your first firearm?

1st was Glock 21.

I kick myself in lower everyday since i passed over ARs, FALs, AKs back then (1999) because i wanted a handgun as a first gun. It was easier to hide from my parents when i lived at home. Yes i lived with my parents into my twenties so what! I was a college student.

First gun was a Colt Burgess lever action in 44-40. Got it for rebuilding a carb on a neighbors truck Still have that one... next it was a Browning pre-war A5 semi-auto shotgun. Then the series 70 Gold Cup...

First gun was an Erma Luger in .22LR. Fun little pistol but the breech cracked.

First gun I bought was an 870 Express. Now it's got a SF foregrip and Sage stock. Love that shotty.

Then, I HAD to have a 1911, so I saved up and got a Kimber TLE/RL II from a fellow Calguns member. Favorite gun.

First gun was a Universal M1 carbine. My dad got it for me from Sears in 1965 when I was 16. I still got it and a bunch of hi-caps

Well, BB guns aside... this was my first gun when I turned 18, back in 2003. It was my only gun up until I bought my two lowers last week.

My very first was a Glock 22 with night sights

then I sold all my guns to fund somethhing else

Then starting January of '05 I started buying guns again

so my second "first gun" was a Kimber Pro Carry and I still have it

now its been a full year and my collection stands at 21 guns......not bad for 1 years time

Many BB and Pellet guns from 5-8 when I was 9 my dad gave me a Glenfield Marlin model 60, Llama 1911 semi-clone,and a RG 25 cal pistol. The Marlin was kept in the corner of my room box of ammo in my dresser drawers the other two my dad kept locked up till we went shooting. When I turned 14 the two pistols were moved into my room.

Killed many cans with that model 60 and the barrel has a faint hint of rifling left still and it is still as accurate as when first given to me.

First gun bought for myself was a Glock 19 which seems to be a popular first buy, followed within a week or two with a Enfield and a Russian SKS. All were bought from the old Turners in Pasadena. Man 303 was cheap back then. I still have all of them too.

An MAK-90 back in Jan of '93. Plus a lot of extras for it. I don't have the rifle anymore. I still have the extras, though. Waiting for the right time to use the "extras" again...

Ithaca M-49 single-shot .22 Long Rifle.

I still have it in original condition.

That was my first one too. My dad got it for me for my 13th birthday, back in the 60s, when we lived out in the country in Georgia. It's a perfect gun for kids, and made ammo last longer.

I've still got it. It's a bit beat, having been carried all over the back 40, and I can't even begin to imagine the round count.

I grew up in rural Michigan and got a Ruger 10/22 just like a zillion other kids around there. One time my friend shot a Badger with his 10/22 and we skinned and cooked it. It was _NASTY_... all tough, stringy, sour, and tangy BLEH!!!

Heh! Yeh, we had a little lake on our property, and we used to catch snapping turtles on trot lines.

Made turtle soup out of one once. That was enough.

We cooked up a cottonmouth once, too, and it was better, but it ain't chicken, no matter what they say!

Mossberg 500...folding stock, pistol grip, awwww.. still have it and have put well over 1000 slugs and 300 or so rounds of buck through it. still looks new. I would never sell it.
