Charter ARMS AR 7 bought from GEMCO in Daly City California by my dad. Could have been K-Mart or BIG 5. I wasn't even 10. Honestly, I literally shot the barrel out of that thing. Barrel had so many pits. I sold it this year. I bought a heavy barrel for it, but it wasn't the same. That rifle was great, but it was pretty tired. I still have my Crossman model 1400, also a GEMCO buy I think.

My first was a Ruger .308 bolt-action, bought used with scope, from Irvington Arms. It was a fun little rifle, but since I didn't hunt, not really useful for paper shooting. Looking for more cowboy-style fun, I wound up trading it in for a Marlin .30-30.

It was lots of fun, until I discovered that ammo prices varied so widely! Besides which, I had fallen in love with the old-school pump action Winchester .22's. So I took the Marlin back to Irvington Arms, and just happened to see a Timber Wolf pump-action .357!

Bought it on the spot, and that's the gun that I've owned the longest. It's a hoot!

Around 1973 or so, my dad got me a remington 870 20 guage for hunting, yes still have it.

First rifle i bought myself was a Colt SP1 followed by an H&K Mod. 91, both i sold, wish i still had those!!

Daisy BB gun around age 5. Then Crosman BB/pellet gun, then real guns.

Aside from the guns my dad bought for me (20 gauge shotgun and a couple .22 rifles) the first I got myself was a Smith & Wesson 4006. Sold it about a year later and got a Glock 23 due to the 4006's performance and the weight factor.

Enfield No4 Mk1 from Old Sac Armory. I still have it, and shoot it as often as I can.

A couple of my buddies had'em, and .303 British was CHEAP a few years back. I'm sure we'll be saying the same thing about 7.62x54R, pretty soon.

A bolt-action Marlin .22 my Dad bought me for Christmas around '82. Must have been in the 7th grade or so? Used to keep it under my bed, and we setup a range in the basement of the house where we'd only shoot .22 Shorts so the neighbors wouldn't hear....

Don't have it any more, don't really miss it either. Damn magazine was always falling out of it!
