Package stolen!!!

Sorry just had to ****ING RANT!
Mother ****ers, someone stole a shipment of .50bmg ammo off myf ront door.
Came home today and didn't see the package I was expecting.

Today was trash day the cans are normally placed on the street in front of my house.
Im guessing someone walking by saw the package and swiped it!
I try to tell everyone to do signature only, but some shippers are too damn lazy to go that route.

It's really the drivers fault. The driver uses his discretion and decides where to leave it. What a joke. I came home to a huge box covered in hazmat stickers just sitting in front of my gate. But they would never leave a Mac book sitting out. Anyone know if there is a coding system on the labels to determine insured value?

That is so wrong! It's makes me MAD for you. Thieves are the lowest form of people on Earth. We work so hard for our things, just to have some jobless waste of a life, take them. I am not only paying for him to live off the wellfare system, but then he goes and steals for the mouth that feeds him. Even dogs have better morals. I hope that sucker blows off one of his fingers. If you paid with a credit card, it is the shippers responsibility to show that the package was delivered to the address on file with the card. If they can't prove that, then you didn't receive your goods and they still owe you or you can do a charge back.

On my website I do signature confirmation and insurance by default you must opt out of signature. If that were the case, then I would show the credit card company you opted out and I wasn't responsible. If you didn't opt out, then it is my responsibility to use signature confirmation.

I would call whoever you ordered it from and let them know the package is showing delivered, but it was not there. Ask them what they will do about it and if need be, let them know that without signature confirmation, you are going to file a charge back.

This is how vendors learn. I already made my $1000 mistake.

Just out of curiosity, are these ammo shipments sent in plain brown boxes? Or do they have big pretty pictures of washing machines being shot up? The reason I ask is that our front porch is pretty exposed to the street as well and I've been ordering some stuff from various gun supply places lately myself. May have to start adding some 'Special Handling' instructions in the future?.....

Ammoman uses the standard case that ammo comes in for their shipments. So, it is obvious what is in it. Cabelas, usually places the ammo in a plain box. Cheaper than Dirt used a candy box on my last ammo shipment.

It seems that home delivery is the worst for this. Years ago, I had my HP DMM ($1k) sent in for calibration. HP decided to return it to the billing address and UPS left this expensive piece of test equipment sitting on my front porch all day, until I got home after work! I must have been lucky.

If this is UPS then track the package and the morning its to go out (ie...at 0700) call the main hub that puts it on the truck and have the put the package for customer pick up or "will-call" and then go pick it up.

I've had it go three different ways with the three main shipping companies-----little unmarked ten dollar goodies left way down my driveway ( with a note on the door) and then a week later a $2400 chartplotter left right on the porch with the words Garmin Electronics stamped all over it. Thankfully I've got a couple of work-at-home neighbors that grabbed it for me til I got home.......
