tEll him to use them. What's going to happen once he passes? Either his family is going to use them and treat them like crap and not clean them or they will give them away and someone else will enjoy them. Even worse, what if his family sells them on one of those gun buy backs that help reduce crime Convince him to use them and enjoy them while he can.

Not a poser just a collector.It doesn't bother me if someone buys a firearm and doesn't shoot it as long as they don't tell me they can hit something 1000 yards with it since they have no experience using it.

Okay hang on a second. Maybe I don't fully understand the law here.
Why would an unfired RAW be any more valuable? You can't sell it within CA as a RAW, right? And if you move out of state it's just another centerfire rifle so who cares? It's even possible that we'll eventually unravel these arbitrary, unconstitutional laws and the RAW status will become meaningless. Am I missing something?

These three letters will bring more money upon selling even out of State....."NIB".

Ask a Colt buff why he doesn't shoot his old SAA's.....you will get a different answer altogether.

Except that these guns are already abundantly available NIB out of state so they really aren't all that collectible.

I have several handguns that I have never fired and don't intend to. Some are NIB, some are multiples purchased as investment.
To each their own my friends.
