This is the most common sense answer here. But in every movie, you see people shoot the beejeebers out of a monster, and then when it's down they stand over it wondering "did I really kill it?" only to find the monster jumps back up a few seconds later and bites them and kills that person..... when all it would taken was a swift blow/slice to the head or neck to dis-member it from the rest of the body. Then that'll buy you a little more time to pour an accelerant over the body & head an burn them both.

Silly, we don't talk about it because vampires aren't real.

What is it with hollywood ripping off cartoons?
They never make them as good as the original.

Totally agreed. Which is why you have to firmly keep the mindset that "lead is only a sedative" firmly in hand while dealing with the undead.

I just remembered something. Back in the late 90s early 2000s I had friend who played "Vampire the Masquerade" and although it was lame, the stories were pretty cool. The company who made the game was called White Wolf at the time and aside from the Catholic church, they had the largest library on the occult.
So they took all this information they got from all these old books, at least the parts that would sell thier games to low self esteem gothic kids and more importantly at the time, low self esteem cute gothic chicks.
So aside from staking, what really scared the hell out of a vampire was fire... so in the game there was DRAGONS BREATH for shotguns!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

too bad its illegal in this state
