I got a bad case of 9x18 Wolf from Sportsmans Guide a couple years ago. Only about half the rounds would fire on the first shot. We tried it in more than one gun and had no problems with other ammo. SG took it back and refunded shipping, too. I think they may have been aware of the issue. I have never had problems with 7.62x39, but when I buy a case of anything I try it out before storing it in the stash.

Thousands of 5.45 downrange with zero problems. I also like it being non-corrosive....unlike the pile of surplus I went through.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

Works on my AK : )

Then again, give me a blasting cap and a rock, and it will work in an AK.

The only thing to worry about is running the gun hard. Shooting from the bench is a lot different from shooting a lot of rounds rapidly in a class. This is where I ran into problems and no longer run steel cased ammo through my ar's. YMMV.

I ran through several hundred rounds of Tula for a class. My AR was fine.

I take reviews like this with a grain of salt. There are people out there who routinely misuse/abuse/neglect their guns, and then, when there's a failure of some kind, they blame the cheap ammo or the gun's slipshod modern manufacturing.

Kind of reminds me of a guy on a Hummer forum who kept claiming how unreliable Hummers were. After awhile, he admitted that he had a habit of going off 10-foot cliffs at 25 MPH on his private land...

If your gun can't run Russian steel cased, its your gun's fault.

Quality weapons should have no issues. My Ar's have ate everything I've fed them
