This could just be the paranoid conspiracy theorist inside me speaking, but maybe the people who broke in were targeting your house (i.e.: they knew you had guns). Could be neighbors or friends of neighbors...

      sorry to hear

Sucks to hear that bud sorry. That's one danger of owning firearms to be honest. Unless you can afford a 2K$ safe that is. I suppose all your weapos were either registered or you at least have the seriels written down somewhere to report yes?

Sorry for your loss. Hopefully, you have insurance to cover the cost of replacements.

Very sorry this happened. Definately time to invest in a large closet safe and bolt it to the floor and wall.

Time to look closely at who has been in your house recently and research accordingly.
If you don't have a safe, (not everyone can afford one or has a location for one), you need to look at small secured lock boxes and good hiding places.
Never let anyone see where or how you store your guns.
Never put all your eggs in one basket.

            Good luck on the recovery.

Time to invest in a safe and/or alarm system. Goodluck with getting them back or at least catching the theives.

Sorry for you loss that stinks. These guys are right though most often it's a friend who knows what you have, where, and when you aren't at home. Unfortunately I have been there and done that.

I go to Inisght Shooting Range in the 562 on a weekly basis. I'll sweep across the lanes every so often and keep an eye out for your guns.

just wondering, without giving out too much details..... were your guns in a safe, and did they take the entire safe? Or were they left out and snatched up?

did you have a safe? a lock box? anything? i can understand them MAYBE getting your bedside gun... MAYBE.....but 4 guns means they weren't secure.
