Open Carry California

I don't have a problem with open carry at all.
With that said, I don't open carry because I'm chicken.

The other day, I was interviewed by a reporter regarding the sexual assaults in my apartment complex. I mentioned that California is anti-CCW, but did not say I had a gun and yada yada....
As she left I said "Be careful"
She said "Don't worry, I have keys in my hand"
I replied, "Uhm, okayyyyy?"

Don't anger the open carry guys! They might just strap on their side arms and gather at a coffee shop in a really nice neighborhood with a really low crime rate

You missed my point. I am not saying one is more acceptable than the other. What I am saying is people with guns in public places can be a problem and people will fear for their safety because guns used in the wrong way have proven far too many times to kill. Gays out in public do not project the same fear.

But they project disgust. Either emotion is negative and works against each respective group.

The way I look at it: it's your right, exercise it as you see fit. Just don't get all butt hurt because someone asks you to leave their place of business or when a cop does an (e) check. Not everyone is accustomed to seeing people, other than cops, with guns on their hips. That's just the way it is. If I was a manager of a restaurant and a whole bunch of people came in open carrying and it was driving customers away I'd politely ask them to leave as it is bad for my business.
