Are you a shooter or do you just like guns.
How much do you actually shoot.
In the last 30 days I have fired 2060 rounds, this includes pistols, rifles and shotgun. 22LR not included.
So how much do you shoot on average in a 30 day period.

As much as I like guns and shooting, I would say I am by far a lover of food, Power, water, Garbage service, Insurance for my house and cars. Many of us make enough to pay bills eat and an occasional outing to the range. Maybe a gun when we get a windfall. I own a few guns, more than thirty, less than 50, I would shoot every day if I could. I try to make it to the range twice a month.

To answer your title. Both.

When times were better I go through about 2000 shells in skeet, that equates to about 80 rounds of skeet in a month. I'll do another 500rds or so in rifles and handguns. That would be in about a month. The economy has definately put a damper on my shooting. Now i only shoot about 10 rounds a month, about 250 shells. About 200 rifle/hg. Damn economy is putting a big dent in my shooting !!!

Shooter. I average ~400+ rounds per sitting every other week for a total of ~800-1000+ a month. Definitely more than less.

Gun lover who wishes I could shoot a lot more. I only get out once a month, but wish I could live at the range. I have a brother that is at the range twice a week or more. I don't know how he can afford it. I love the mechanics and function of guns my wife doesn't understand me always tearing down, cleaning, and upgrading parts. Trigger assembly's are fascinating! I love to take a rough trigger, and make it break like glass.

Me -- shooter when I first started out. Almost daily I would go to the open range.

I got married -- dwindled down to once a month.

Married with kids, mortgage, college, bills up to the a__ -- every 6 months.

So priority wise it shifted. But I do reload to get my fix in check from the lack of trigger time.

I usually try to go once a month but it doesnt always happen. Ive also been remodeling the house so that takes time away from the fun stuff.

I'd say both. I love guns. new, old, building, shooting, reloading...not so much with the cleaning, but hey wacha gonna do? I usually only shoot 200-300 rounds a week through my pistols. less with the rifles, but I think that qualifies me as a shooter. I meet people all the time that shoot like once a year WTF?

During this summer I have shot once every two weeks. Outdoor range probably 150 rifle rounds, 50-70 9mm rounds, and 150 22lr. I go slow and take my time so it lasts at least a few hours. I'd like to shoot more, but even this is going to have to slow down when school starts for me. Indoor range is much faster, 50 rounds 22lr, and 50 rounds 9mm. More HD type practice. I also love collecting and in fact researching is probably my favorite part.
