    Gran Torino

I am up having a few drinks tonight and Gran Torino came on. While watching I was wondering if Eastwood used his own 1911 GI & Garand from his personal collection in the movie considering that neither was ever fired during the filming ruling out props? Also do you think thats one of his own old school push mowers he's using? Sorry if this is a dupe. OH YEAH

I have no idea as to his firearms, or push mower..... but he has seen better days.

He looks like a saddlebag now..... but is still a good actor.

There is no d in Gran Torino.
There is no reason to think the firearms in the film are operational and owned by the actor, yet many reasons to suspect they are not.

Hes also 80 something years old. At least hes not like these Hollywood clowns who all of the sudden have a really tight smile and their eyebrows and hairline towards the top of their head and they talk without moving their lips and they still try to play the hip with it coolster guy.

Give the man some props for not turning into one of those azzclowns and letting himself age gracefully.

Agreed, and credit for taking or creating roles for himself that are appropriate for a man his age.

If you liked "Gran Torino", check out "Harry Brown".
It's kinda like the British version of "Gran Torino" & "Death Wish" rolled into one.

Still love his movies, except when he had that thing for Sondra Locke.

I'm sure Clint has been sitting on scripts like Gran Torino for decades and was just waiting to get old enough to film them.

Great movie, in a couple scenes I nearly broke down into manly tears.

Its a good movie and my mom mentioned the same thing, About wondering if the Garand was from his personal collection, He was the Director and Main star of the movie. Its quite possible.

Just give me a minute and I'll send him a text and we'll see.
