My Terrible Dream (Why we need CCW NOW!!)

I am defenseless as BOTH my hands are grabbing for a gun that I know still needs to be racked and brought up to fire.

I know I'm off topic a little bit, but why carry in Condition 3 when most any relatively firearm, including a GLOCK 27 can be safely carried in Condition 1. I couldn't help but to notice this.

Anyway, I agree with both sides of the argument here. I would hate for the bad guys to get away with things, but then there are all of the repercussions the shooter would have to deal with; I can already see what Ayoob would say...

You're not actually saying you would shoot someone over a wallet and camera, right? You're talking about spending $50,000 to defend yourself in the legal arena if you ever did.

seriously though, should we let people walk all over us? whats the point of being American then? America is about kicking ***, taking names and being free. A Nam vet once told me that. Enough of our freedom is in the garbage as it is.

Maybe some better situational awareness training along with some self defense course would help. I don't think a CCW would apply.



Because I grew up in the Bronx and I've never had anyone just take anything off me. How the heck would they get your wallet and camera?!? Would you just stand there shaking while they searched thru your pockets?!?

its easier than you think. they are very swift at the pocket check, usually one will distract you while the other grabs into the pockets. but like i said, it was a DREAM and in the dream the first guy stole my wallet quickly and ran off, while the second and third fought me and stole my camera.

in my real life encounter with surenos and my chain, i fought back as soon as they grabbed it. i grabbed him by the hair and used my free hand to swing multiple times on his face.

it really makes me sad to see that the criminals seems to have more rights than i do. as an unarmed citizen of kommiefornia, i am practically at the mercy of them.

I've had a fiance murdered, and had guns stuck in my face twice but I don't see a murderer on every street corner or think every minority member is going to jack me up for my iphone either.

I think you need to examine why you are so afraid in public places...its not like u live in sao paulo or rio...or kandahar...or detroit..

ts not about being paranoid, its about very aware of your surroundings and being ready if anything goes down, im not getting caught unaware in the future. some of you are sounding stangely like the antis right now...`theres no criminals anywhere, ive never needed a gun before, you`re a paranoid gun nut!`......

parts of SF and oakland can be comparable to detroit. and did i mention that most of the robberys i was involved in TOOK PLACE IN GOOD NEIGHBORHOODS? the surenos tried to rob me on 33rd and Geary st, a safe middle class neighborhood, you dont need to be on 3rd and newcomb to get robbed.

i dont dress like a `thug`, just a normal white dude with jeans and a blank, no brand t-shirt. but for some reason bangers see me as a target. im not that big in stature, 5`10 and 150 so im not big or scary. if i was a thug i might rob myself.
