Day Trip to Cabelas - Reno

So today I was bored and I decided to take a little day trip up to Reno to check out Cabelas. Not all the pics are of the greatest quality, sorry they were taken with a Droid Incredible.

    The gate to Heaven

A few collectibles in their Gun Library showroom

Rifles on sale in their Gun Library

    AR Pistols!!!!

All in all it was a great outing. Went to Cabelas and oogled over an HK45 that was in the used case for $749.00, M1s, Mosins, Arisakas and AR pistols.

I did venture into Reno and found my Springfield TRP at Sportsman's Warehouse, I might have to pick one up from them.

Thanks for sharing. I like Sportsmans Warehouse. I usually end up buying something each time I stop by. They have lots of stuff we can't own in CA .

I was visiting my parents over the holidays up in Spirit Lake, Idaho, we took a trip, well a few of them to the Spokane Cableas. I really like that place! Humongous selection of ammo and almost everything else one could want. The restaurant inside had a bunch of wild meats like Boar, Elk, Deer, etc. The Boar sandwich was really tasty!

Cabelas is seriously amazing, I know that Sportsman's Warehouse probably carries most of the same stuff, but Cabelas presentation is A+.

Never heard of Scheels. I'll check them out next time I'm up there. How are the prices at Scheels? Cabelas is pretty cheap for anything except their firearms which are priced a bit higher than I see at smaller shops. Sportsman's is pretty cheap though for their firearms but expensive for ammo.

I really liked the Sheels - I thought the Cabela's was pretty dismal compared to the big ones back east.

Last time I was at Scheel's the ammo was cheaper than Cabela's. I think Cabela's will sell to a CA C&R though while Scheel's will not.

Went to Scheel's a couple of weeks ago, along with a couple of small shops. Did not make it to Cabela's or Sportsmen's. I will have to check them out next time. Liked the selection, and lots of ammo, but to me the price of ammo was not that great, and prior to leaving stopped by a super wally and they only had one box of 9mm.
