I would suggest you keep your USP, and be happy.

BTW, what caliber is your USP? Have you fired an over-charged .40 or .45 through it to see how it would handle the pressure? Ever fired when there was a squib in the barrel?

I think 98% of people here know that Glocks (as well as any other gun) can kaboom. This is not news.

I worked at a shooting range and have seen just about everygun blow up from AR's to single action rugers. It almost always was user error. Most were bad reloads.

It's a starter pistol, they're made out of pot metal and get torn up pretty easily.

You realize what you just did, right?

You just demonstrated that you don't know JACK about pistols or how they work, which therefore nullifies any credibility you may have had about pistols.

My USP Compact had a nasty malfunction it double fed and double jammed on me with one round ending up tip down in the mag other round soundly jammed in the extractor.

Any gun can have a catastrophic failure. Its a risk each and everyone of us take each and every time we shoot. There is no perfect fail proof gun if there is it would be the only one selling period. I think each and every one of us have favorites and dislikes when it comes to handguns.

Personally I am not a fan of the Springfield XD 40 it beats the crud out my hand. Hell my USP compact 9mm has a hell of a muzzle flip with it which could be a part of the problem...and no its not limp wristing issue because I have shot other and higher caliber guns and 9mm (lighter guns) without the same issue. I have shot three glock models in my lifetime and two of the three I liked. I shot both the glock 17 and 19 and disliked the 19 and a glock 34 I believe which wasn't a bad shooting gun at all. I have also shot a few 1911 models two of which where Kimbers and disliked the smaller pro version of the 45.

It'll happen to any gun with improperly loaded ammunition. Don't troll.

That`s why I don`t own a Glock,I can imagine it just waiting in the house, waiting for the right time to go off!

+1 That is why some ranges do not allow reloads.

Not to defend the person you were responding to, but I think he meant fully supported CASE HEAD, which is most efficiently done by the barrel. A weak case head or overcharge situation (especially with .40) which would kaboom in a Glock might not kaboom in another firearm that supported the case head fully. Either way, firing junk ammo or bad reloads is a stupid idea in any firearm, not just in Glocks.
