To imply that Glock's are unsafe by design is just ignorant. They are designed to shoot factory ammo or ammo which meets factory specs (in all aspects), duhhh! If a reloader does not take proper care in inspecting cases or tries to exceed recommended pressures _hit can happen...in any firearm!

Not to defend the person you were responding to, but I think he meant fully supported CASE HEAD, which is most efficiently done by the barrel. A weak case head or overcharge situation (especially with .40) which would kaboom in a Glock might not kaboom in another firearm that supported the case head fully. Either way, firing junk ammo or bad reloads is a stupid idea in any firearm, not just in Glocks.

it was more than likely the ammo.. I've seen it before many times. Every time I've seen it happen it was with a different gun...(never seen it happen in a Glock) it can happen to any gun. nuff said.
