There was thread about Walther P99 kabooming, culprit was ammo. Ammo manufacture agreed to replace damaged Walter P99 though.

Walther framed did better than XD frame though.

If you reload .40 S&W for a Glock it can go kaboom. I had a blow out in the case web at the unsupported portion of the chamber with a reload. Blew out the trigger and magazine base. No real harm to the gun or shooter. It is basically like russian roulette, if the weakened portion of the case lines up again at the feed ramp, it can blow out. The likelihood increases with the number of firings, which is unknown with range pickup. I replaced the stock barrel with a Lone Wolf which has better case support.

I do believe that about sums it up. Those of you who still possess those evil Glocks, plotting in your gun safe and muttering about when is the best time to kaboom and do you harm, send them to me (if not to Sajedene) and we will be happy to test them to destruction. Don't expect to hear back from us for a while.

it's funny how there is video for about just any gun going boom even god's gift to man the 1911.

Don't be a fool Glock is the most reliable system available and the reason why it was chosen by the Israelis for their corner shot, Magpul chose it for their FPG and numerous special forces units, and other elite military organizations.
Bad ammo is bad ammo I had my 30-06 bolt gun blow up and tare the extractor right off!!!

I'm a glock fan and I never said it doesn't happen. Like others said, this can happen in any firearm even the mighty 1911.

I had it happen with a smith&wesson j60 357. blew the gun into 7 pieces. I was left with my finger pointing the wrong way and had to have surgery right away. If i can figure out how to upload pics to calguns i will post them.

but it can happen to any gun, at any time. just takes one incorrect loaded round to cause something major. lets just hope that no major injuries come from any of it.
