Pretty tough to to with some old surplus guns. You might be able to find commercial ammo but if thats 3$ a round vs 25 cents a round for surplus thats a hard trade off.

It's not the end of the world. Just sucks cause it's wasted money. 100% fail rate. At first I thought my firing pin was broken
I tried some of my ammo once I realized which ammo was not working
I don't think the seller knew the ammo was/is bad I just hate to have misfires and having 5 of them one after another is weird
mu other ammo (Greek surplus) works just fine nomisfires I have one of the cases that never went off I'll take some pics for you guys
for all I know this 30 06 may work fine but it's not firing out of my gun
I think I only paid 50$ for the ammo just disappointed is all

          sucks about the ammo.

Just dont out the seller and give him a bad wrap, especially if you dont think he purposely sold you bad ammo.

Sorry to hear that also. I've learned to check out any ammo I buy. Can you pull one or two and check out the powder and Primer? If you reload, You can reuse the bullets and brass.
PM the seller with the problem. If he is a good guy, He will refund your money if you send the ammo back. If not. Let it be known in his Itrader that , "at no fault of the seller, the ammo was bad." Hate to sound cruel, But other buyers should know of this. No one wants to go shooting with ammo that doesn't fire. Once again, What were you shooting it in? Some military ammo does have hard primers that light strikes of civillian weapons won't ignite...

I got burned by Jspicoli. 1000rds of his bogus 223. He was loading it himself, but I didn't know it. He almost screwed me altogether(I paid, but he didn't ship), but I filed a dispute on paypal, and got his friends (he was using it) account locked

The stuff barely cycled. It was about 15% light on the powder.

Will the ammo shoot in another gun? Could it be that the ammo has super hard primers?

I don't have another 30 06 to try out. I won't give bad I trader cause I really don't feel the seller meant any harm. If someone wants to try it in a military 30-06 you can have it. If it works give me a fair price for the ammo if it doesn't you got some bullets and cases for free if you load

I'm guessing it is FN .30 ball dated 55-60. If you want to give it up I'll take it off your hands.

Any friends with a .30-06? Anyone with an M1 Garand who can help verify for you if it's really the ammo, or what?
