Where did you learn to shoot?

Started with a BB gun under my dad's supervision when I was 6. Moved to .22 pistol and single shot .22 rifle, again strictly supervised, at the family hunting cabin when I was 10. By 14 I was dove hunting with a single shot .410 and taking small game with that old single shot .22.

Took college (AJ major) firearms courses, went to the academy (won the "top gun" award), in service training as a LEO, regular qualification, outside courses, hunting, informal plinking, some competetive shooting. Now in my early 50's I still can't get enough range time to suit myself.

I learned to shoot a little over a year ago now here in San Diego. Bought my first gun shortly thereafter. Went to Front Sight in September and realized that I have a serious addiction to going shooting when after spending four days shooting about 800 rounds I was plotting the next outing LOL.

i got a bb/pellet gun in my pre-teens.

About 5 years ago i think, I went into firing line northridge and signed up for the beginning pistol class. Been shooting pistol, shotgun, and rifle ever since.

Though proper training on the shotgun and the rifle, will need to be done sometime in the near future if i ever want to be a good shot with either.

BB guns and the boy scouts for rifles. My Boss at one of my old jobs taught me how to shoot pistols. We use to go to the range every other friday after work.

I learned to shoot in North Hollywood at the Bank of America incident back in 1997. I was the guy who got away! Please promise not to tell the police on me. It will be our little secret. I am the reason why all OLL's have bullet buttons and 10 round mags. LOL!

Back in the early 70's when I was a kid,my dad was a police officer.He took us out to the Delta river banks and tought my brother and I how to shoot.First with 22 rifle,then 22 pistol,and up from there to 38,357,and 41 magnum.I also learned how to reload at an early age.Those were the fun days.

BB guns and rats, then .22's and jack rabbits in Rosamond. I was the only shooter in the house so I taught myself, not sure how i even hit things but i did. stopped shooting through high school and then picked up shooting again in the army. From that point on it just moved along.

I wasn't allowed to even get close to guns when I was little though I did get to use a BB gun once, that was fun. Other then that one time with a BB gun and lots of lasar tag I didn't learn to shoot till I went out and got a shotgun for myself when I was 20.
