When I was about 10 years old in Wisconsin.
Grandfather was a former WWII Combat Engineer, and my uncle was a Ranger who'd been through sniper school.

We were (and still are) an avid hunting family, so I've been pretty much consistently shooting for the last 29 years (god I just realized I'm almost 40...).

Other than when I've lived in "No guns for you" countries.

My dad taught me up in the mountains. The USMC taught him how to shoot.
Oppressors can tyrannize only when they achieve a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed populace. -- James Madison

The Constitution shall never be construed to authorize Congress to prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms. -- Samuel Adams, Debates and Proceedings in the Convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 86-87 (Pearce and Hale, eds., Boston, 1850)

self taught, but i hear my mom could put a hole in quarter that was thrown in the air as a youth, with her 22 rifle...maybe it's in the blood?

The San Gabriel Valley Gun Club. Their junior rifle program. Sadly they were closed down a few years ago by a buch of hopolphobic yuppies.

I grew up in the Ozarks, which means when I was born I very likely came out holding a rifle.

I watched Terminator a million times... and my cousin took me to a range.

Dad took me out back on my Grandparents place when I was 8 with a .22 and a bunch of cans, we setup near the creek so we could fill the cans up with water so they would fly up in the air when you shot them....good times!
