    For <$1000? S&W MP 15 ORC. Good stock lower/upper right out of the box, and easy to add extras to it.

              I would shop around for the best deals on parts and go from there.I have been building mine for almost a year but iam staying way under budget.I would also look for vendors that offer calguns discounts.

                  Read and expedite before you make a purchase. Don't buy because it's a deal or cheap.
                  Buy parts that suites your need and liking then put it together.
                  Hook up with veteran AR shooters in your area and have them show you the ropes on builds.
                  Only you yourself can build your own best A/R.

                      I built with a Stag lower and an LMT mil-spec upper and couldn't be happier. The finished build came in within the OP's price range and there is the satisfaction factor of putting it together and finding the right ammo for it.
