      In Santa Clara County.... you can be threatened, in writing, by the mob and the sheriff's office will say not good enough of a cause.

        You did the right thing. $20 isn't worth risking your life for, or worth taking a life, even if he is a scumbag. Save the life and death stuff for when it really matters.

            For sure. I am glad you and your customers are safe. Did PD indicate that there had been a lot of these types of robberies in your area?

              Frankly, I shocked that the suggestion to use this incident to get a ccw didn't pop up until the second page of comments. Your guys are slipping

                -All good 69mach1, nobody stole anything from me personally anyways. BTW the 69 Mach 1 is probably my second or third favorite mustang. The Cleveland 302 was a great motor!
                - lucha - they didnt really give us info on how much this happens in our area. I live less than a mile away though and dont recall this happening much around here.

                    Definitely did that promptly. The ten minute window that I'm sure the perp was aware of did not contribute to catching him.;

                      Usually if the bad guy really has a weapon he will brandish it in order to get the goods from you quicker.

                        Thats what I thought after a bit, but I realized that after being interviewed by the sheriff that they cant do crap if I didn't see or be told by the person that they had a weapon. The guy never said he had a weapon, and kept at least one arm under the blanket the whole time. Odds are that he had nothing, but he kept that thing moving around and over at least one arm - both if he could - the whole time.

                            Fivefivesix - yeah I felt like I was committing a crime when I said that he was African American.

                              But really, it's not a race thing. I have no problem with anyone of any race. I've helped many black people and have as many good experiences with black people as people of any other background, as far as I can tell.

                                um, it's "African American" we no longer use black, Negro, or "colored people"

                                I don't know why you would guilty for describing a predominant trait of the perp...

                                did he have a Negro dialect?
