I view them like that busy chinese restaurant in the back of some random strip mall.

Prices are great and food is pretty decent, but you'll probably have to flag down someone to get more tea or the check. It's up to you to decide whether the price justifies the hassle and less than ideal dining experience.

After much indecision based on a lot of bad reviews, I recently did an order with them. Got the "it's shipped" notification less than 24 hours after placing the order. A few days later I got concerned that the UPS tracking number showed only a "revenue scan" which is the label being generated on their system.

E-mailed Botach, got a prompt reply. They followed up the following day with a re-ship notice and the 3/4 of the order arrived within two days. One item (a GG&G BUIS) had gone backorder, but they cleared that within another three days. Two days to get to me, and the sight is happily on top of my Stag.

All in all, they handled it well. I'll keep using them until they burn me.

I just recently ordered an item and it came within a week...the strange thing was it came in a sealed blister pack that advertised something totally different than what I ordered??...

I've bought from them with no problems in the past... but I ALWAYS double and triple check to confirm that what I've ordered is actually in stock.

this is true. i ordered stuff no problem, but must check first.

I've read several of the horror stories about them also, but I've ordered several things from them and receive my orders promptly.

gave you guys a second chance and my order went off without a single problem. The first time though was 10 days of no response only until I requested a cancellation and refund was my order shipped.
I may order again if I need to. FYI Shipping was a bit high. I ordered bigger volume and weight from LA police gear and it was $3 less for the same USPS service.

Love Botach...great prices...the store is packed with stuff to the rafters...cool Class 3 weaponry...and some of the BEST bbq in LA (maybe the USA?) right around the corner, Phillips!!!

I've been a customer of theirs for many years; yes, sometimes there is a mixup but nothing an email of phone call couldn't resolve. They have even called me when something goes out of stock at the last moment and my order is incomplete; they will call me to ask if I want the remainder of the order shipped first and the back ordered items to be shipped when it arrives or if I want to cancel anything. I think that's excellent service. Please remember that they do HUGE volume and are also government agency suppliers. There will always be orders that slip through the cracks but from a percentage standpoint, these incidents are fairly rare.
