Millions of people die for stupid lies, and anyone sicko that gets off on this needless death is worse than any terrorist. And the military contractor gets to spread propaganda with stupid Crusader insinuations. Yeah, this is a Crusade, just for the bad guys that want to take over the Globe. Cute, very cute. Make your millions selling military equipment that kills people in a genocidal war, then put some religious "code" on those devices. That'll make you more money cause the American people may chatter but won't really care and congress stopped working for the American people since 1870, when the constitution died. Or use the slightly more recent date of 1913.

I notice a psychotic schism in some pro-gun individuals. They readily admit that their own government is trying to disarm them but they then have zero idea why (to avoid the TFH or because they are truly clueless.) The other part of the inconsistent insanity is when they back any and all miliaristic actions that are truly genocidal and entirely criminal. Be careful of what you support in a govt since that public tolerance for tyrannical policy can and will be turned on you in due time, remember they want your guns. And you wonder WHAT they are going to do to you and your dear ones, AFTER they take your guns-if you let them. So if you feel personally threatened by a gun-grabbing regime (such as Satanic Stalin, Murderous Mao, etc., then why do you jump on a bandwagon when the driver is the likes of Stalin and Mao??? The Nazi germans, the Commie Russians and Chinese ALL said or though: MY COUNTRY, RIGHT OR WRONG. So remember, before things got really STUPID in those counties, everyone said and though their dear fascist leaders were sweethearts and would never do them wrong or murder them or send them to stupid, senseless, genocidal wars. So that Trijicon company can stick that propaganda trick where the sun don't shine.

Trijicon is a private company that makes a superior product. Its had the verses on the scopes long before the ME drove a truck into the WTC.

The owner was a christian and put verses on his scopes that had to do with his beliefs and sighting systems.

If the Govt. doesn't like it they can buy an inferior product. As long as Trijicon didn't change anything from the units used to approve the contract, the Govt. should live up to their end of the bargin.

If an individual doesn't want the verses on their scope then they should buy something else.

I'm not a religous person but I do believe in peoples right to do what they want if it doesn't hurt me. This doesn't hurt me.

My take is the term "Jesus Rifle" is the dumbest term ever, any person who handles a rifle and uses this word seriously is mentally challenged.

This whole thing has been an abject lesson in ridiculous.

If we want to worry about our reputation as crusaders, maybe we, a Judeo Christian based, and majority populated society, should not invade countries in the Middle East. Well that, and not elect Ivy League, history degreed presidents who mention "Crusade" in an early speech about the war to Congress...

We are what we are. "JN8:12" on the side of a rifle sight didn't make us this way, and taking it off isn't going to change the fact.

Another loss of reason and individuality in our great land.

When I was mounting the first Trijicon I bought on my carbine to sight in at the range, I saw it and thought, "sheeze, what's this crap". I'm the type that doesn't particularly like "fish" emblazoned on things I buy. (though my favorite holster I own is a Bladetech)

Then I went home and looked up John 8:12, to find:

"Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
How can you read that and not think it's a clever thing to have referenced on the side of a rifle sight with a bit of fissionable material, as seen in our sun and does not die like batteries, inside to light the dark up? Don't overemphasize the religion, and intellectually that's kinda fun.

Would the anti-religion types who argue the Bible is not a "holy" work be upset if it referenced the DaVinci Code or maybe the 7 Habits of Highly Successful People instead? Does their vehemence only add importance to the Bible?

If that same verse was written in some other religious work, and referenced, I'd feel the same.

Ah well...as soon as it came up, the end result was guaranteed...

This is not meant to be malicious... but to the religious advocates out there, how many people know the history of the bible, not what the bible says... there is so much left out..., the book of John has more than 400 different authors, and that's just one book. There's no mention of Lillian, an incredibly important person... there's no mention of Jesus as a youth..., he didn't suddenly develop the gift of healing, he always had it... the bible is just ONE point of view of what Jesus taught. Look into the history and it will open many doors and give new insight...

So anyone serving in the U.S. armed forces who is not a Christian is now the enemy?

This complaint was brought forth by U.S. soldiers! How would you like to go to war using equipment with stuff from the Koran or other religions on it, PAID FOR WITH TAX PAYER MONEY?

I really could care less who or what is on my gear. If it works accurately and allows me to complete my mission, it could say anything it wants from the Bible, Q'uran, Torah, Silverstein's ABZ book for all I care.

I really doubt the complaint by U.S. Soldiers. We've known about the inscriptions since 2005 and no one gave a rats *** about them.
