Ah, but do you feel the need to support the rights of those who do "feel the need to get up at the buttcrack of dawn" to use a perfectly legal, 2A protected firearm to get that chance? This isn't about hunting, it's about ignorance and gun grabbers. Wolfsong.

Haha what ol' Dumbo doesn't realize is that while the Second Amendment isn't about hunting, hunting is about the Second Amendment (unless you like bows). There's absolutely nothing wrong with hunting but people who do it need to realize that they are not safe from the gun grabbers just because they use "sporting firearms". They can dismiss us EBR owners as wannabe gangsters, terrorists, spray and pray shooters, or whatever other idiotic, Brady-esque term they like. But if one day we truly lose our Second Amendment rights, they will be in the same boat as the rest of us.

He is a putz, how do you make a comment like that and then say Oh, nevermind I am going to go use one with my new friend next hunt, Pulllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze. We have all made mistakes yes, but this rings of elitism. Not a good position when you deal with the shooting public. I plan on using my 6.8 for deer and the new 223 varmint upper I just bought for squirrel. They are among the best hunting rifles I own now.

I just heard of a guy using the 6.8 for piggies, I dont know..........Maybe Zumbo will write a story on it and clear things up for me.

Yeah, 6.8 SPC is a perfect pig/deer cartridge in California... more than enough power to drop them, but not so much as to cause massive trauma.

It's basically the same bullet as a .270, but at about 400fps less. 110gr 6.8 SPC will get about 2800fps compared to 3200fps with a 110gr .270. It's more powerful than the 7.62x39 and flatter shooting. The 7.62x39 is similar to a standard .30-30 in stopping power.

Just to update... I turned on Outdoor Channel to see if Zumbo's show, "Jim Zumbo Outdoors" would appear as scheduled... NOPE!!! It's listed on the guide as coming on at 2pm, 5pm and 8pm today, but they replaced it with "Adventures Abroad."

He's spiraling the drain.
