if i can find the connections/contacts i would be willing to take a look into opening an ammo store.

and if the bank will give me a loan big enough to allow me to purchase enough stock to make it worthwhile.

Whens enough enough when it comes to ammo. How much is enough ammo?

      I have in calibers:

      308
      223
      22lr
      38
      357
      9
      45
      40
      12g

is 500 of each caliber enough? or since 22lr is inexpensive should I get 2k of it and 500 of everything else.

      When is enough, enough.
Kind of a silly question to me. What is your budget? What caliber do you shoot most? How often do you shoot? How much money do you want to have tied up in ammo that you may never use? If you are not a hoarder and you do not think the Zombies are coming, or the end of the world is coming in 2012 then why do you feel a need to stock up? Just buy what you see that is on sale here and there and let your budget tell you when "enough is enough".

How cool would that be? A store dedicated to selling nothing but ammunition? You could cut way down on operating costs and licensing since you wouldn't be selling guns or any other nonsense and you wouldn't need a large store front because you'd just have shelves.

          That would be the idea.

haha yes, just operate it like a bank. you get a "teller" window and you just "deposit" some money and "withdrawal" some ammo.

I woudl say a reasonable amount woudl be somewhere around 300 for your most common shot guns and maybe 1000 or so for your uncommon guns and a bunch of .22 cause its cheap

I have nowhere near what I know I need. I'm going to spend 400 bucks on a press and get a bunch of brass and just stock up. I have about 1000 rounds in .22 but I need way more .40 way more 12 gauge, I NEED A 9 and then I need a TON of 9mm. I'm just getting started on all this crap a few years ago. I ALSO need a rifle, two or three of them. You get the point.
