This amazing, I thought all hollywood industry types are liberal antigun freaks.
Are you an independant film maker?

I was going to answer AR15barrel's question about interrupting the burst, but Freakshow beat me to it. When you release the trigger in the middle of the burst, the disconnector and trigger can rotate and stop the hammer from falling. It also allows the ratchet pawl to reset.

Easy now, he is asking a legit question. What CG really needs is a thread on how a girl can keep her man from coming too fast...

See the three disconnectors in the pic? Those all work off the burst wheel right behind the hammer.

The steps on the burst wheel control the disconnectors and release them at different intervals. The top hooks on the disconnectors hold the hammer back when the burst is done firing or you interrupt the burst after 1 or 2 shots.

The result is a 3 round burst or a single shot that has 3 different trigger pull weights, due to the ratchet wheel. This is what happens when you let the government spend money on equipment instead of proper training.

I'll see if a burst kit is in stock somewhere and get one to show you how it works in a machine gun receiver. I'll run a short video on it.
So you have to hold the trigger back until, bang bang bang, then let off and repeat? What about semi mode? Does the gun basically hit each of the three discos then start over again? Never really thought about how it worked but, its interesting looking at the pics.

You hold the trigger back and it fires 3 shots, then stops. You have to release the trigger and pull it again to fire it.

In semi auto mode, it operates like normal but it manually works through the teeth on the burst wheel and the disconnectors. It will cycle through all three in a row, each having a different pull weight. Pull the trigger it fires and the disconnector holds the hammer back until the trigger is pulled again.

The burst kit is in stock and I have one on order. It should be here Tuesday and I can show you guys how it goes down.
