    I'm just saying...

JB weld does not belong on guns.

Mix up JB weld and put it on your stocks, pistol grips and forearms. Texture it paint it and you have a great foul weather gun.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

Super glue will work on your sight, JB weld as well and saran wrap is a good condom as well.

I opt for the professional method. It keeps Randall off the streets.

If you had a sight that was loose in a dovetail, JB weld or superglue might work to keep it there.

If you have a smooth metal receiver and you want it to stick to that, it has no chance.

If you are handy, you could drill and tap it yourself. If not, get a pro to do it, broken taps suck and if your shotgun is stainless, the degree of difficulty is going to be pretty high.

A GOOD drill press with a tight spindle would do it as long as you have a cross slide vise, and a center drill.

This is what I'm reffering to

Only a small portion would be JB welded to keep the part of the sights more snug against the reciever ( its a heat shield )

Do the sights mount on the heat shield?
If so, that's a perfect candidate for silver solder.

That rear sight USUALLY gets mounted on the rear of the reciever.
When you move it 6" forward, it's no longer a "ghost ring" sight.

That shotgun is crying really good now.

Don't put that rear sight on the heat shield! You will wind up with a "scout"
shotgun. Which BTW is not currently the rage.

It's no longer a ghost ring sight when you move it that far forward.

The way a ghost ring works is that it's so close to your eye that you don't focus it at all.
It creates an out-of-focus "ghost" ring that you are looking through and focusing on the front sight and the target.
When the move the rear sight so far forward as in the picture, it comes into focus and it's way slower to align because you have to be looking through it.
REAL ghost rings are so fast because you naturally look through the rear sight when you mount the gun.
This happens because a REAL ghost ring sight is so close to your eye.
