My take on Midway USA....
Great selection of out of stock items.
Some of the highest retail prices in the industry.
One of the slowest websites known to man.
Big enough to not really care about losing a little business here and there.
They also have a very high opinion of themselves, and won't hesitate to say it.
I've been through with them for over a year now. There's just too many nice folks out there that treat their customers with respect and gratitude.
Just my 2-cents.

I just opened my front door and picked up a box from Midway USA. My first purchase from them, .22LR Ammo, and delivered earlier than promised, no signature required, and no one stole it off my porch. The prices were good and service fast.Originally posted by Daytripper63"Looking a bit angry, he asked why I thought it was a Republican truck. No, it wasn't directed at you. It was just a snip of the last post dealing with the subject. Sorry, didn't mean to make it seem like it was aimed at you.
Now, as for Midway, lots of people are out of stock on things at the moment. Yes their website sucks. But it is easier to find things on than, say, Brownell's. And their dealer prices are usually better than the other stores out there. The brass I buy is usually several dollars cheaper, as are the bullets. Most of their prices on other things are pretty competitive as well. I like them. I really do. And I do a lot of business with them. Not huge orders, but they definately add up. I think before people get the wrong idea, you guys need to ask around and see how many people have NOT had issues with them before screaming that they are a big, evil corporation.

They areMidwayUSA has been off my list too. They wouldn't sell some receivers to me because they said in MI every gun has to include a gun lock when it's sold. I told them it is true but there is an exception for FFLs receiving guns in wholesale or from out of state, that the law pertains to dealers selling at retail to the public. They said TS. So I bought the receivers factor direct and mailed MidwayUSA a copy of the invoice for $13,000 worth of lowers. They sent back a sorry letter with a $20 off coupon.

It's not a KAC item; it is marketed by DPMS. This is the item description/name:i know this is slightly off topic but will they not ship you the KAC product because of its problems in Cali? i thought for some stupid reason KAC products are banned by name here even their rails . Did KAC themselves not post up an explanation to this a while back? so maybe since they think it pertains to that particular issue
"DPMS Upper Receiver Action Block DPMS LR-308, Knight's Armament SR-25 Delrin"
On the page listed in the OP, I see no mention of an 01 FFL being required to order this part.
Since I have spent a bit of moeny with the, and have never had an issue, I will wait and see what comes of this before I make any decisions about future patronage. It is a little disconcerting that somebody in the customer service department would act this way. This is my sig line.Comment

Brownells always pulls through for me. I even get thank you letters signed in ink from their president when my orders exceed $1000. I'm happy with them as a vendor.

Midway has frequently sent my orders dropped shipped to a 2nd location using my C&R account. Have never had an issue.
I stopped using them when they added the service charge for orders under $40 and not shipping ammo to Los Angeles despite the plethora of vendors who will.
I mostly shop at Brownells. Their customer service is excellent.- Jeff
