This is why I have everything shipped to my work these days. I may get weird looks when I get ammo, but it doesn't get "lost."

This must be a common thing. I have had many problems with UPS in the past.. They have left things next to my porch under a bench and it rained ruining the shoes in the box. The other incident happened to be ammo, It had not shown up in the time that it was scheduled so I called and they said that they had delivered it on the porch and it was not there. I do all the calling and complaining and get nowhere. A week and a half later I happen to be cleaning out the dog house on the patio and low and behold what do I find in the dog house............ the freaking case of ammo..
When I finally cornered the UPS driver he said yes he put it in the dog house and left a note on the door.... never saw a note on the door...... weeks later found the note on the side of the house where the trash cans are kept..
I guess the wind blue the note off the door and down the side of the house...


So I guess, try to find the actual driver and find out his mo...

My UPS driver is a gunny too. She shoots 44 mag. We talk shooting and I get ALL of my ammo. Try meeting your UPS delivery dude.

My local UPS guy dropped off some motorcycle tires last week.
I was home and went outside to meet him.
He said it was good I was there, otherwise, he would not have left the tires, and I would have had to go to the UPS depot to pick them up.
He said the tires were very steal-able, and UPS has had many incidents lately where someone is following them around and stealing deliveries.
I showed him a hiding place where he can leave things and he said that was great, he would use it in the future.
I can see why the other ammo delivery mentioned above was left in a dog house.

Dude that sucks! 2 things.....1.I always have stuff delivered to my work, the boss doesn't care(he's a hunter) and the UPS guy knows us all(it's a small business). 2. When ordering from ATG there is a box you have to uncheck if you don't want shipping insurance. I always get it just in case as it's only a couple of bucks.

I always sent stuff to my parents house. They are retired and mostly there. But UPS did leave powder and other reloading stuff on their porch. I was surprise since the package had flammable and danger on it................

Does not require a signature for ammo UNLESS the shipper requests it as a the 21 or older law. If the buyer has showed the seller a proof of age, then no signature is needed.

Shipper would specify if signature is required for delivery.

It is not a UPS policy in most cases at detached single family dwellings. Depending on the area or item it is driver discretion to obtain a signature if not explicitly specified by the shipper.

I think that there's some requirement for a sig. If UPS didn't get the sig they are violating their policies.

I hate UPS!! They sent back to me packages that I sent out and they were damaged and missing parts, numerous times and just recently. i only use new boxes and used ones if the box still has shape and is still good. I only use usps now.

I had 350 rounds of 9mm coming in from AIMsurplus - a friend of mine was riding his bike over to my house and just happened to be crossing into my driveway when the UPS guy rolled up. He just handed my friend the ammo and drove off without a signature or verifying the guy he just handed ammo to lived there.

No signature was required for the 7.62x39 I ordered either, was just left on the doorstep.

I ordered some shells from ableammo and when checking out it said it needed to be signed for when delivered. UPS was the shipping company and they just left it at the front door.
