First day carrying concealed

CA law now states that you must show your CCW badge to anyone who comes within a six foot radius of you and that you must announce your presence as a CCW holder over the PA system at any large business establishment before engaging in any commercial activity. (*Signed into law by our esteemed co-Governors Jenna Pelosi and Gavin Newsome, Jr.

I believe there is an additional requirement that, when seeing a LEO in any venue, you must approach, declare your status and where the CCW is carried. If driving and a unit passes by, you must follow and cause the officer to stop so you can declare your status. Contacts must then be reported in person to the IA.

It?s actually on one of those dog tag chains and goes inside my shirt. You can barely see it unless you look at my upper neck. It would never be obvious and outside my shirt.

So are you guys think I should just put it in the wallet? My wallet stays on my right side. I don't carry it a lot because I?ve lost it so many times. I was thinking about getting one of those wallet that has an AirTag built into it.

Put your license necklace container in your left hip pocket and loop the ball chain through a belt loop. People will think you're a bad*** biker, the wallet won't get lost, and the chain will distract from your right hip and weapon.

Remember, people still can't find Waldo and they've been looking for him for years. Nobody's looking for you.

I'm venturing out today for the first time carrying my firearm with my new CCW permit. I'm going to the movies and then to pick up a hamburger on the way home.

Wearing loose clothing, and my permit is around my neck in a holder. Wish me luck😎

Get some type of CCW insurance or umbrella policy. Regardless of how in the right you are with a shooting, you are going to get sued. And depending on where you are at in CA, you are probably going to catch some kind of charge from the DA.

Not sure about wearing your permit around your neck. Most people just put it in their wallet/purse.

I rarely carry a gun with me. Just not really needed in my daily routine. When I do it's because I'm going to a disarmament zone.

I went to go see Oppenheimer in a mall known for problem people. I considered not carrying because I was wearing jogging shorts. Since it was IMAX in a full theater I put my credit card and phone in one pocket and a pocket gun in the other. I walked the whole mall after the movie to stretch before my long drive home. Nothing happened but a few days later the whole mall was shut down due to a violent robbery.

I use a neoprene band holster when in running shorts. I used to wear it running, but just like you, I've decided it wasnt needed in my short 2 mile morning runs. I leave my wallet, and bring a knife and mace instead.

BP, if you are quick you can still get a Prime delivery of three RFID tags - one for your wallet, one for your handgun, and one for your own dear self in your neck purse so Mrs. BP can retrieve you from the scary world and humanely return you to the hood.

I have one of those belly band holsters. I used it when I carried a fullsize gun in the desert. After a few incidents with wild dogs I've had to put down i changed to an owb holster so I could draw faster.

I was running full speed with my u14 boys soccer team yesterday. I was carrying a s&w 442 in a crossbreed microtuk iwb. It did not move at all. I did lose to two of our players though..not too bad out of 14 that day.

Wearing a necklace with your license seems really terrible. Mine is sandwiched between 2 credit cards/ DL and cash secured by a paper binder.

I have ZERO worries about needing to pull it out for the Po Po. Not liek I need to Qucikdraw my license out. I have had to present it twice in last 10 years to CHP for possible driving violations..that afterwards they said..be careful and drive safely..good day, no ticket: )

I ordered a super low profile wallet that has a AirTag pocket for my permit. I can only put my drivers license, permit, insurance card, and debit card in. Should work well.

I was a rookie cop and a newlywed. I just finished the Swing Shift and my young bride asked if I can grab a six pack on the way home.

I stop at a 7-11 in Alhambra at midnight. I brought my PBR and while exiting a old drunk lady does a "slip and fall" in front of me. I help her up (apparently exposing my pistol) I get in my car and drive away.

An APD Unit pulls a left turn in behind me. We are traveling east on Valley Blvd. A second APD Unit makes a right turn behind both of us. I know they will be doing a "Felony Stop" when they get a good spot picked out. They both make a U-turn and I continued home. I realize my personal car plates, if ran on NCIC will come back with "Sworn Officer - Address Confidential". So they decided to give the rookie a break.

Careful with that, I hear other people run plates too.

Day 13,140 carrying concealed. Woke up got dressed put a Glock 43 and holster on my right side, 8 round mag on the left. Taking my wife to breakfast and then the bank and maybe Walmart. Won’t think about my gun again until I take it off tonight.
