Neither does Palo Alto/ Menlo Park. However Campbell does. Lots of Ruger rifles and Maverick Shotguns. If anything check out Eddie’s in Mt View off Moffet you won’t be disappointed.

Employees doing the paperwork and DROS all need to have their own current valid COE, probably those quit and management decided just to shut down that line of business.

Used to get Big-5 fliers in general mail all the time - haven't seen one in years, seems to have all stopped well prior to COVID - and certainly haven't seen any deals on mil-surp rifles from them in a long while. Can't recall the last time I was in a Big-5, maybe 2017 or so, just to look around.

Yep, that ended some time ago. Bought two nice 91/59's of all things from our local one.

Big 5 used to rock. I bought my first Ruger 10/22 at the Golden West location in Westminster, in the late 70s. $69.95 (I was late to to the 10/22 party). And it was cash and carry, no silly wait. I also recall getting their flyer when they offered a brick of .22 ammo for $5.00. K Mart too. Good times.

I used to buy more than guns e.g. good sales on athletic shoes, golf balls and camping gear at Big5. Only found a Dick's here and Walmart for sporting goods. Becoming more of an on-line shopper lately.

Seems to be following the way of Sears, Monkey Wards, Walmart, K-Mart and others. Sad, I bought my Mossy from Big-5.

Anyone here know what's going on?
Is it possible the young girl employee did not know WTF she was talking about?

Some FFLs have had to pause business due to a lag in their FFL licensure or other CA control bureaucratic BS.

                  "Did they stop selling guns?"

"Yes, there's a problem with licensure so we had to stop selling for now. We'll be back to normal in a week."

Because Big 5 has been moving to only carrying China made chit for years.

No doubt when my sons were young they were my go to for sports equipment,
kids shoes, shirts, shorts, etc. Times have changed, you can find it all online.

Before I die I want to buy a handgun and rifle at a free state garage sale

Interesting I quit buying anything from our Big 5 because of the ammo prices and the stupid crap I’d hear from the counter people while in there. Being it is the only store in my town that sells ammo I wonder if they will stop.

My local Big 5 still sells firearms, I go there a couple times a month buy ammo or 10/30 PMAG's whenever they have those $5 off $10/$15 coupons.

Yes. I never see anyone buying ammo when I'm in Big 5 getting my kids sports equipment.

Would rather spend a little more gas and drive a little further to Sportsman's or Scheels when a sale is on
